the second one is interesting also, scoped with silencer, drum fed, and fires a round with low enough velocity to be subsonic.

Apparently, Van Pelt was using a heavily modified Winchester Model 1901.

A Winchester Model 1901 shotgun, but with the following modifications: custom stock, false box magazine added in front of the action (the 1901 has a tubular magazine), and a very odd rear sight. It is sold off by Van Pelt before running out of ammunition(That was last made in 1903) for it after which he trades it in for a USAS-12.
