They were until they got into the price range of a new Baer or a used Wilson.

I bought my Black Duty Cost DW Valor used but it was an early model that cost me less than $1,200.00, the $1,450.00 price you are getting for a used Valor is stupid high, I'd never pay that much. I'm not a big fan of the Black Duty Coat either so I'd go with a new stainless Valor with the Heinie Straight 8 tritium nightsights, mine is an older Valor, it has the Novak tritium nightsites, which are fine, but the Heinie sight system is the way to go, once you get the hang of aligning them on a target, which takes no time at all, those Heinies are great and I think the give the new Valor the edge over the other guns.
