Glock 21, I have bought and sold three of them over the years and just keep coming back. It's one fistfull of power, no denying that.

If money were no object: Hk USP45 - Expensive mags and expensive gun.

If moneys tight: Glock 21 or SA XD45 - Cheaper gun and reasonably priced magazines.

What he said. ^^^^^^^^

P.S. Except to add: I'd rather have a non-polymer SIG p220.

Tough call. I would, if I could afford it, buy several of the .45s you have listed. I voted HK45, but I would certainly buy an XD and the new PX4.45. This is of course going only on your options, because in predictable THR fashion I'd probably buy a steel 1911 before any of these. Also I think the Ruger P345 should have been on that list.

+1 for the XD .45. I love mine. Accurate, reliable (zero malfunctions in 1500 rounds), and tough. These pistols are just as any polymer pistol on the market.

I picked the FNP cause it's what i want in any pistol. It has a safety and SA/DA trigger. 14+1 is also an attractive prospect. I already know that availability and price will probally hinder that purchase though. I still want one.

I'd also would have picked the M&P 45. After visting there website i noticed they actuall have two models.
One plain jane black one, then(the one i would get) is the one tested for the military. With a tan frame and a manual safety. I carry at the 1 o'clock postion so a safety... you know what... just read my signiture, thats a fact not a statement.
