I’m thinking of changing the sights on my GP 100. My eyes are getting old and the front sight is starting to get blurry. At present I have the black front sight. If nothing else I’ll change to the Ruger front sight with the red insert.
I was looking at Williams gun sights too. They have a set for front and rear. Anybody have any experience with them. Anyway, I’m open for suggestions

If it's a 3" GP100 my Gunsmith makes a good Hi-Viz type Front Sight for the GP100.

If it's a 4" or longer Barrel then I'd go with the Ruger Fiber Optic Front Sight. Ruger sells them online at their Online Store. I need to buy a Front Sight for my 4" GP100 as I'm having vision problems too.

Ah, I forgot to mention my GP 100 is a 6". Thanks for suggesting the fiber optic from Ruger. I'll look into that.

I just installed the Williams Firesights for that same reason (old eyes) and couldn't be happier - fiber optics front & rear

Biker,

I have a 3" that the front sight is pinned in and would like to have something other than the stock sight. Can you email the info on your Gunsmith to me at

Thanks

Chaps, were the sights any problem to install? I read that some gun smithing was involved?

Nope, its easy on the adj sight models. I had a little bit of a fuss getting the tiny tension spring in the rear sight to act nice on the changeout but that was due to my pudgy fingers, poor eyesight and lack of a tiny pick so I had my kid do it.

Great!! I ordered a set so I'll see how they do.
Thanks for all of the replies folks. DS
