So what size grips go on a Kimber Ultra Tac II? I see them in Commander, Officer and Government sizes everywhere I look. And the Kimber has an ambidextrous safety and I don't see many grips with that mentioned.

I'd like to get some simulated Ivory grips for it just because but don't wanna toss out the 60 to 100 bucks I've seen asked for them without knowing what size to get.

Hmmmm.....

Kimber lists height of Ultra carry as 4.5", Tactical ultra as 5", Custom as 5.25"

Gov't grips are full size, or custom in Kimber speak. Ultra carry is Officers size, interesting.
I'd say Ultra tac is a gov't frame, but I'd call Hogue and ask to be sure

The regular Officer's Model grips will fit it, at least the ones from Hogue. I have a set of Hogue rubber wraparounds with the finger grooves on mine, and it looks great.

They run about $20, worth every penny. The grips, that is! :D

All Ultra's have an Officer's grip frame. The Ultra is a 3" barrel. Any Officer's 1911 grips will fit.
In Kimbers, the Compact is the Officer's grip frame with the 4" barrel. The Pro size in Kimbers is the 4" barrel with the Gov't grip frame.
