Pizza man says he was attacked by young girls

CINCINNATI (AP) -- A pizza delivery man in Cincinnati has told police he was the victim of a robbery attempt yesterday -- by a pack of girls.

Police say he described his assailants as five very young girls.

Investigators believe they're looking for suspects in the eleven-to-14 age group.

A police captain says it's a little disturbing.

The 21-year-old delivery man says the girls tried to take the pizza from him and ended up knocking him to the ground.

But he wasn't hurt, and nothing was taken.

He says when he arrived at the spot where he was supposed to deliver the pie, it seemed the girls were waiting for him.

Police are looking into whether they were the ones who phoned in the order.

Unfortunately, this same scenario with even younger kids is not an uncommon "modus operandi" of muggers and pickpockets in some third world capitals and tourist spots.

El T must be at the Thrift Store checking out Pizza Delivery attire...:D

Seriously-

As stated, kids, group of kids do this sort of thing. I recall some stories some Folks that served in Vietnam shared. One did not get their boots shined - or other such matters.

Kids...that term does not really fit well. Historically groups of youths have done illegal matters. Pay attention at a State Fair sometime, just put your wallet in front pocket first.

Around here the ones able to drive do this odd, street dance with cars...they try to scare folks. I mean they run up from behind, swerve across lanes, cross center lines and come at you, whatever, just listen for funky mufflers being drowned out by "racket" they call music
...Nice clean cars, either the license tags are missing...or beat all to hell like a trailer hitch does to a truck...none of these have trailer hitches mind you. They take a hammer and beat the plates up, then back on car.

New thing, I guess...is :
I came in the other evening about 10pm. City street at a stop light, two lanes each direction, and walking down the double yellow here comes a group of 5 youths, they looked like they may attend a private school or something. Not the ususal gang types near here.

Just walking down the double yellow, knocking on windows, sitting on hoods, trunks, jumping into truck beds...and trying to open doors...and the unlocked ones did open.

I'm seeing this "up yonder" as I approach , inside lane , and car in front of me takes a left to side street.

I was the guy that waited for oncoming traffic to clear and pulled a 180 and came in another way.

I'm not bashful, I ask a Deputy Sheriff the next day that does Security for my across the street grocery store...he informs me this is a new thing...these kids are from a more affluent area, come over and just do this dare and stare for fun...

"What about the curfew?"
"What about it?"

He had a point, what do these kids care? Daddy's attorney will fix it...whatever "it" is.

Youth is wasted on the young they say...

I deliver pizza. I'm afraid if some tried that, a few'd get a healthy thump from a maglight, age and sex regardless. If they were lucky.

zahc is right. if a kid wants to molest an adult then an adult thumping should help their priorities.

Strategy?

Unarmed little girls? LMAO! I suppose they're going to get themselves hurt. I wouldn't purposely hurt them in a million years but my reflex for self-preservation is instinctual and that does have a way of taking care of me. I can see this causing damage to someone that didn't know me well enough to stay out of reach.

There is all kinds of nut jobs out there. These girls may end up
doing this to some one who likes it and then their picture is posted
up on a Wal-Mart board. I can't say I really see them as malicious
(maybe just a step above the Chihuahuas from the other day) just
very very stupid.

First rule of pizza delivery:

When you get an order from an address in The Village of the Damned, don't go alone.

Friends went on vacation to Jamaica some years ago.

Having heard from friends about groups of 8-12 year old pickpockets and purse snatchers targeting tourists - as a rich Yankee, belting one of these young miscreants would be regarded as PAYDAY by the locals - they talked to the hotel bell captain, who obtained the services of a local "guide" for them at very nominal fee.

The "guide" at 18 or 20 was hardly more than a kid himself, but spoke excellent English . . . and snap-kicked one of the young pickpockets in the face as they tried to swarm them. Apparently this group of young thieves hadn't gotten the word about the real function of the local "guide."

The rest of the "youngsters" backed off with their bleeding buddy and left them alone, and since the "rich Yankees" never so much as laid a finger on a local - no payday.

I once had a girl shove me while I was fishing. I shoved her right into the pond.:D I don't believe in hitting lady's but it take more than a bra to be a lady. I once had a female teacher steal my cupcake at school.:cuss: :fire: Needless to say, there was a rubber snake in her desk that afternoon.:D

I say that they were all bad and need to be spanked. I'll even volunteer.

Ummm, sorry...

In other countries it is common for people to be attacked by "youths," although I don't hear much about it being girls, typically it is boys. They are often armed and just as dangerous as any other assailant. Be wary...

my strategy is to be fat and ugly. females of all ages leave me alone.

but its all good! who needs human contact anyways?!

i need a hug.
:(

They could have beaten me senseless and robbed me blind, and I would have never called it into the police. Can you imagine the call of, "I just got mugged by a pack of little girls."?

Video Games and Loud Music were to blame. Curse you George Bush.

I can't believe this guy went to the authorities. Can you imagine the greif he's getting from his co-workers?:D

All Punks Start Small

Regardless of gender, all big punks and gangers started as small wannabe punks and gangers. A "child" becomes lethal as soon as they can reach a weapon, and a pair of hard shoes can definitely be a weapon.

Plenty of kids have gotten the message that if you are under 18, you will not do hard time. Sometimes that is truer than others, but if it were not a fact, we would not have instances where courts are trying 14 year olds as adults.

As far as reporting it to LEO, if the delivery man lost the pies, he's probably liable for them. If there is a police report, liability is no longer his problem.

I have heard of gypsis(sp?) in southern/eastern europe using similar techniques to mug tourists. I have also heard of them throwing babies at you (no kidding), and while your arms are busy holding the baby, the mother comes and picks your pockets.

My advice for either situation...keep your hands on your valuables and keep walking as if nothing was there. Do not change course or speed unless you encounter something/one that you cannot move.

If the would-be muggers try to press charges deny any incident ever took place. Most of the time the police will be aware of those types of people, and any witnesses on the street will say you were just walking, not fighting or running.

its true though. im 21 and we didnt do this stuff when i was a kid. that being said if your parents have the means to fix anything that goes wrong in your life, you might get cocky. god knows that wasnt my family, so im not cocky.

no i would never call the cops, dont think i would if it were a pack of 14 year old boys either. to much is resolved with lawyers in my opinion. sometimes a kid just needs a swift kick or a kind word to tell him to go play a game of hide and go gain intimate knowledge of themselves.:p

now, if he had clocked little suzzey q or timmy, and mommy and daddy found out, what do you think would happen to that pizza boy?
