Its been said before but i'll reiterate it let her handle and shoot as many firearms as possible and let her decide which she is comfortable with, and what ever she decides to get support her decision and dont look down on it. Since she is new to shooting its best to let her get comfortable with her new firearm, and she will graduate to bigger and better firearms, plus it give you an excuse to buy more guns, and who doesnt like that.
