What was/is your first carry gun

P229R DAK in 40S&W.

Now carry M&P40. About the same medium trigger resistance, but a lot shorter trigger travel distance. The grip is also slimmer, giving me a better grip and trigger resistance. Also a bit easier to carry.

Tried a Glock 22 before that, but I did not find the trigger and grip angle to suit me.

LC9 in warm weather - it conceals better under light clothing. Use IWB Shirt tuck holster.

S&W 67-1 in colder weather. Carry OWB under sweater or sweat shirt.

My first CCW was a Bersa Thunder .380 I loved that gun I regrettably sold it. I kept it inside my vehicle only. Then I carried IWB a Taurus PT709 9mm for several years...it broke and Taurus CS was terrible. Long story short 4 months to replace a $12 part...sold that piece of crap and bought a Glock 27. Carry it everyday IWB and don't see myself changing anytime soon.

My first carry gun was a S&W model 19 2 1/2" barrel .357. In either a IWB holster in warm weather, or hi-ride paddle holster with a jacket. Still have it 40+ years later and still carry it on occasion.

My first was a s&w model 39-2. Sold it a long time ago. Now I carry a xds 45 or a glock 36.

My first was a S&W M65 3". Carried that for a while. Lately its been a Glock 27.
