Mine ended up liking my S&W 642 best. She loves my Glock 19, but is nervous about the trigger/ no safety. She is ok however with the long, strong trigger on that revolver.. Just curious as to what your loved ones carry.

S&W 442. She qualified w/ an auto so she would have that option, but so far has no interest in anything but the 442....

My wife also carries a 642. We bought it on the day Obama was elected. That is a tradition of ours, on election day we vote, then go gun shopping.

I've asked her about small semi-autos like the LCP and what-not, but she just isn't very interested in them.

Her favorite carry method is a belly-band.

I went out and bought a 442 after she got her J-frame so I wouldn't be tempted to swipe her's.

Walther PPK/S. She bought it herself, she thought it "looked nice." Turns out, it's a pretty nice gun. Previously she had a Taurus 85 UL.

That's a pretty cool tradition.

She carries the gun SHE picked (which took two tries and a LOT of rentals)
It ended up being a Springfield XD9sc.
She occasionally carries a NAA .32acp auto, for some indescribable reason she likes it better than my KelTec P32.

And for the times she just can't carry a real gun I bought her one of those silly Kimber PepperBlasters (well, I bought three, tested one and put the other two in service)

My wife hasn't taken the required course yet to get her permit. When she does she plans on carrying her home defense gun; a 2 1/2" S&W model 66 (the gun I carried as a private security supervisor when I was in the office and Private Investigator).

Thank God my wife has zero interest in guns. (She barely tolerates my gun hobby, and that little is because she's convinced that it's financially lucrative.) But if she were to start carrying a gun, I would be very nervous. By temperament she's the kind of person I wouldn't trust with a gun. Other than that, we have a great relationship.

Either a Baby Browning in an ankle holster or a Beretta 70.

Wow. Some of you guys I gotta wonder about. Why are you married to your wives if you can't trust them ... or even like them, seemingly?
Gald your wives don't read the forum. For your own benefits.

One of the secrets to a long marriage, it seems to me (and I've been married for nearly 33 years), is to "compartmentalize" the other person's traits. Since nobody's perfect, you emphasize what (to you) are the other person's "good" qualities and overlook the "bad" qualities. I trust my wife in most things -- just not guns. (This works out well because she doesn't trust herself with guns, either.) It's a balancing act. I'm sure there are things about me that she can't stand, as well. If you insist on idealizing your spouse and wanting 100% agreement on everything, you're going to eventually end up in divorce court. Of course, it helped that my wife and I were not real young and naive (we were 33 and 30) when we got married.

My wife doesn't have a Ga Firearms License and can only legally carry a gun in a vehicle, which she seldom does. We're usually in the car together, and I have a GFL so I always have a gun with me. Her "house gun" that she keeps handy when I'm not at home is a like new '60's vintage S&W mod 30 cal .32 S&W Long that she inherited from her mother. It's underpowered of course, but her hands were crippled by botched carpal tunnel surgery 25 years ago and she can't tolerate much recoil. Fiocchi's .32L ammo is made in Italy and listed as a 98 gr fmj bullet @ 835 fps. That's 130 fps better than US .32L ammo, still not very potent but at least it's a step up from the H&R .22 she had before.
