the first gun that i ever bought was a sa xd service model in .40s&w and yes i still have it, over 12000rds to date, and still going strong, it has had 2 sets of tritium sights on it, and currently has a set of xs bd sights, and has been refinished in armory kote, which is now beging to wear in too, which i like!

it has been through fighting pistol, advanced fighting pistol at tactical response, as well as Rob Pincus' Combat Focus Shooting course.

it is a ccw/hd/ comp gun it goes everywhere and does everything.

I grew up around lots of guns. The first gun I shot was my dad's .357 Magnum. I unloaded 6 rounds as fast as I could which hurt like hell at the age of 10:) The first gun I bought is my Glock 30 that I have today.

The first "gun" I ever owned was a Daisy Powerline 990 CO2/pump BB/pellet gun. It was a heck of an air rifle when I bought it about 20 years ago. I learned the fundamentals with that gun, and totally wore it out putting heaven knows how many thousands and thousands of BBs through it. I got pretty darn good with it too if I might say so. I still have it and even pull it out of the closet occasionally. I just give it a gentle nudge and it just jumps right to the same old spot on my shoulder, but it sure doesn't have the punch to shoot through 1/2" plywood anymore :).

My first actual firearm was a Remmy 552 Speedmaster BDL Deluxe .22. I saved up and bought it new, and it still looks that way despite having had an awful lot of rounds put through it (beautiful little rifle). I've got a nice centerfire scope on it, and I've shot it enough that the two of us together make for some pretty decent tack drivin.'

My first gun was a new mossberg 500E .410. Sweet shooting little number. Who knows how many small woodland creatures have fell to that gun. I got it in 1990, at age 7. I got my first deer rifle at age 10. It was a mid war manufacture 98K that had been sporterized in the 60's by my grandfathers best friend. I got a box of handloads with it as well, 220gr SP's over a hefty charge of IMR 3031. Alot of gun for a 10 year old!

Winchester 670 in .30-06. I fired .22 LR in the highschool rifle team and wanted something with a bigger pop and kick for more challenge. My dad let me have it during my Junior year :), I've got a great dad.

When I was 12 growning up in South Central Texas, I got a Winchester 250 (.22) for Christmas. Later that morning my dad took me and my older brother to a friend's farm 60 miles away to shoot, while my mom worked on the Christmas meal.

I got a Mossberg shotgun when I was 15, and a Winchester 670 .30-06 when I was 17. Hawaiian Eye: You still have your 670? I still have mine!!

The first gun I purchased was a Sears Ted Williams 12 gauge shotgun when I was nearly 18. Being under age, my mom had to actually buy it.

First gun put into my name was a S&W 686 .357 mag w/ 6" barrel. Purchased when I was about 25. Traded it a few years later. Damn, I wish I hadn't done that!!

My first was a Ruger P89..heavy, but I liked it. First gun I took to the range, too. I even CCW'd it(in a smartcarry) just to see if i could get away with it..no one ever saw it.

I worked all summer helping my dad paint houses to get my first gun. He was a preacher and never had much money so he painted on the side.

I found a .22 rifle at the Western Auto Store and I stopped by almost every day to look at it.

I was only 14 or 15 at the time, so my dad "made the purchase."

I was really proud of that gun. I was also very careful with it. I had a lot of "sweat equity" in that gun!

Mossberg Plinkster 377 complete with wood grain plastic thumbhole stock, tube magazine in the butt, and a tasco 4x scope. In hinsight, very very ugly.

Snuck down to the pawn shop when I was a senior in high school since my mom would have freaked out about it. Shot it till it broke and sold it back.

my very first real gun was a winchester 22 magnum when i was 10, back in 1992. and still have it today. its the 9422 model. still in new condition, accurate as can be at 100yrd's.

Savage Model 95 (I think)
.22 WMR Bolt Action with scope for $210.

Bought myself with my own money
(first major purchase of my adult life)
3 years ago when I was the tender age of 18, he has a few friends now too.

My first real gun was a single shot Chipmunk .22...I grew out of it pretty quickly and my dad still has it. The first gun I ever purchased on my own was a S&W 410, which I still have and it has NEVER malfunctioned on me in any way, ever, although I've never really abused it. Its on my nightstand right now.

The first gun I received was from my dad...a Savage, mod 24, .22/410. It is in the safe and I still hunt rabbit with it.

First gun I ever bought was a Colt, Diamondback,4", .38 Special. Goes to the range every time...even if I really only intend to shoot rifles. :D

Mark.

First guns that were all mine. About 1974 family friends had a house fire and gave all of their firearms. I salvaged 3 of them.

Ithaca 12 ga pump - still have it
Savage 22 hornet - traded it

Springfield J. Stevens 87A. Shot thousands of rounds through it. Still have it, still shoots great.

Just recently bought a couple of 10/22s and have decided to retire it or pass it on to a youngster like it was passed to me.

870 wingmaster 28 ga. Dad bought it for me used at a gun show a couple weeks before my 10th birthday. I no longer own it. It now belongs to my son.
