An Outdoor Sports-era Charles Daly 12ga. autoloader from my dad for Christmas in the mid-eighties ('84, if I recall correctly). It's still my only shotgun, and is currently pulling HD duty.

It's a good gun, and I've taken an unknown number of dove with it, but it's a nightmare trying to find parts for the thing. Shot the extractor out of it once, had to have a gunsmith modify an extractor from another gun to fit. I need to pick up something more common one of these days.

!st shotgun

My 1st shotgun was a model 37 winchester single shot in 16 ga that my grandfather picked up for me used but in great shape. That was 45 years ago, I still have that gun & it will go to my grandson in a couple of years. NRA PATRON LIFE MEMBER

My first shotgun was a used Winchester Model 12 my dad bought me for Christmas. Still have it.

Winchester Model 50 12 gauge.
It was my dad's we took the beagles out for bunnies, and I got one I was 12.

Dad let me keep the gun and picked up an old single shot for himself.

my first

:)my first was a kessler 128 goose gun, bolt action 12 g. i got from my dad. he became a pacifist during the viet nam war, and gave me the gun to hold for him. after his death last year, i retained it and still hunt with it.even though its a beast to carry .. weighs a ton...love and kisses:)

Remington model 11 20 gauge plain barrel , belonged to my great grandaddy and I still have it to this day. Killed many a rabbit and quail with it over the years and wouldnt take a million dollars for it.,,,,,, unless it was all in neatly stacked hundred dollar bills.

Old beat up Browning A5. Kicked the snot out of me:eek:.

Sold it, bought a new Remington 1100 light 20 and enjoyed shooting a shotgun. The 1100 was the first new shot gun that I bought, and I still have it.

What was your first hunting shotgun

As a kid my grandfather bought me 16 guage shells to use in his 1897 Winchester pump to kill rabbits in the cotton patch. The summer after my junior year in high school I went on the wheat harvest. I saved a bunch of money and when I returned home I went to Babcock Bros and bought a Winchester Model 12, 12 guage. I have never hunted with anything else. There is no telling how many cases of shells I have shot with that gun. I had it re-blued once in the 1960's. It still looks good and operates perfectly.

First hunting shotgun was a Mossberg 500A. Its still my only hunting shotgun. Only 17 years on it. Still going strong and hope to pass it to one of my kids.
