Don't get me wrong, I WANT the ban to go away. I've spent a fortune on preban junk though. Now if that ban expires the value of my stuff will go into the toilet. I will be able to buy twice as much though...
I think one of the guns more affected by the sunset will be the AR10/SR25/.308 AR group. I for one would be much more interested if I could find 20 round mags without spending a ton and ripping up an M1A mag.
my opinion though.......the price of the rifles will stay the same (new ones) now they will just be able to give us the options we want on them. i will go buy some hi caps for my pistols an stock up on 10 roundr trainer mags.
after calling Ruger they have no plans to ever make the 20 round mag for the mini 14 again. and i have surplus AR 30 round mags. so that solves that question.
how much depreciation are people thinking a Pre-ban rifle will lose?
I will investigate the vote record for any/all recently tried AWB renewal legislation, and call and write out paper and ink letters expressing my thanks and support for those who voted properly.
It happened once.
It happened because most gunnies don't vote and are not politically active.
Perhaps the '94 AWB can be the kick in the arse needed to get people paying attention.
Folding stock for the mini-14 (been waiting 10 years--I didn't buy one before the ban because I thought "this is a free country, it won't pass.":banghead:
