New guns thanks to election?

Now that the Senate, White House, and House are solidly Republican now, will we see gun mfgs willing to give us new stuff without the likely threat of a new AWB? Will HK give us some wicked new rifles? Will Colt pull its head out of its butt and give us lowly non-LE civilians flash hiders and bayonet lugs? Perhaps now we can get a lawsuit immunity bill passed now, increasing willingness to make what we want?

Any thoughts?

My only concern is that the election might be bad for gun purchases.

I was gonna buy an EBR if Kerry won. But now I think I'll focus on accessories for a while. Need some new optics and stuff.

I will predict that an OBSCENE quantity of high / full / large capacity magazines will be available within the next few months, as now the manufacturers have no excuse not to retool their lines.

Unfortunatly, this state of idots (illinois) voted in Ms. Bean. That is her goal to put that ban back in place for the whole state... Not Just Chicago...

I am not planning on buying a new gun, but I did at 2am on 2Nov start paying for a lifetime membership in the NRA. Next month I'll get a membership for JPFO.

Also, I am just happy that we aren't going to lose any guns...if we get some new ones released then all the better!

Anyway, yes, if I were a gambling man I'd bet that this sorry state of Illinois will eventually pass our own version of the AWB. Just one more excuse to tell the wife why I need a new AR, more magazines, and take a trip to the south east to visit relatives.

Sigmaman what he said does not matter as the point is moot. I hope we all know when someone in D.C. says that they will do something there is no garrantee (sp?) that anything will be done, or that it will resemble what it was supposed to if or when it is finaly made into a law. At least thats how it seem to me.
