What would you buy for $800?

I have a Benelli Montefeltro safe queen, very few rounds through it. This year was the third dove season in a row where it sat unused.

I am considering selling or trading for something new, and I am going in a dozen different directions. For $800 or so, what gun is is on your wish list??

I am considering in no particular order ($800 max, no minimum):

1. quality (no romies) AK
2. draco pistol ( I don't know why; looks like fun)
3. Barnett Preditor crossbow (I know, I said gun...but its still on the list)
4. 870 police / high gloss blue & walnut (if I can find one)
5. Another .30-30 lever gun; trapper this time
6. 1911
7. glock 19
8. Anything else you can think of!!!

I would try to get a glock in 9mm for 400 bucks, then put the rest in ammo!

Draco has been on my list as well but I dont own any other gun in 7.62x39 so I would have to start a new ammo dump for it. Im gonna go with a GSG5 pistol instead. For the 800 I would attempt to find an M1 or FAL.

I have lot's of 7.63x39 ammo, and only a Yugo 59 to launch it from. Sold my AK, and been kind of missing it. The FAL is an option; Like you, I would need to build a .308 depot, but I have an accurate .308 bolt gun & between the two that might just make a nice SHTF combo. Interesting......

smith and wesson or colt 1911, maybe an sti or springfield if it suits your fancy; glock 19, or the ak rifle. Can't go wrong with either. If you don't have plastic or a glock get the glock- great guns. If you have a lot of pistols and no assault rifles, or a few pistols and no assault style rifles, get the ak. If you are pretty evened out and have no 1911's get a 1911 for sure!!!

Not a long range shooter. I am leaning more toward eastern block military arms, or maybe a decent handgun addition. I have hunting covered.

An HK P30 or a G17 or 26. Probably a 26 first. The only other two guns I want right now are an AR-10, which is too expensive, or a SBR AR-15 which is illegal in my state.

I have a G27; Always wanted a G19. I have re-discovered my joy in firing the 9mm, and I have been picking up one or two here & there; SigPro 2022, CZ85, & an old PT99 that I've had quite awhile.

If you are pretty evened out and have no 1911's get a 1911 for sure!!!

I have a colt series 80 stainless enhanced; my only 1911. I have carried it some, but it is really pretty & not my first choice for a CCW. I am pondering a 1911 for carry. Suggestions? I want an Ed Brown, but $800 ain't gonna get that done.

I'm good on hunting shotguns; my 1100 is pretty much my go-to dove gun. The Benelli on the block is a great upland bird gun, but I'm not a pheasant hunter. For some reason, I thought a 5.5 lb dove gun was a good idea. I was wrong---give me a 10 lb 1100!

I might would save a few more dollars and go for a FN57. That seems like it would be a fun little gun to shoot, but, it'd cost a little more that 800 I think.
