What would you pay for a Beretta 92?

For an excellent condition 92fs, with two 15 round mags, I'd pay around $400 if I were in the market. Less for worse condition.

It's a good gun, but far from the best for what it does. It's a massive 9mm pistol with strong capacity. You can get 17 round mags.

For comparison, there are a lot of excellent pistols on the market that are better IMO for the same or less money. CZ75, CZP09/P07, Glock, Sig, CZ999 ($280), XD, SW MP, etc. and clones of many of these...

If you love the gun and must have it, I'd say for an excellent one, up to $500 would be fair.

I picked one up last weekend used, some slide wear, one 15 round mag for $279. Turns out it is an awesome shooter. I'm really happy and that's all that counts :)

Homage. I would be willing to pay a whole lot of homage for a Beretta 92. Other than that, I'd just as soon let someone who wants it pay for it.

Pretty much.

I mean, if it was absolutely dirt cheap, maybe $200 in very good condition, I'd buy it and resell to double my money with basic zero effort. Personally though, I dislike just about everything about it.

Speaking purely aesthetically, it's a beautiful gun. I just don't care to ever shoot one again. Didn't do it for me.

Around my area they are going for about $450 with two 15 round mags for a gun in very good condition. I have a 92FS and it is very accurate. I don't use it as a carry gun, mainly just target shooting.

500ish if it was in newish condition. you wont get one that's in any kind of decent shape for under 400 unless you're dealing with a desperate individual, though there are quite a few of those in the present economy.

I picked-up an almost unfired 1996 example at the LGS for $450 w/ one 10 rd Hillary Mag. I liked my M9 in the Army, and had been looking for a nice all-metal parts example to add to the collection. New and used 15 rd mags are cheap and easy to find. The M92, especially the 90's guns, are a far superior weapon to today's trendy poly-strikers.

Just depends if you like the make/model and want to own one.

Personally, I've never particularly cared for the somewhat over-size 92/96 series pistols.

I had the chance several years ago to buy a 92 when a local agency was clearing out their older inventory and transitioning from 92's to 96's. Got a call from another instructor who said I could buy one from his agency (as a cop), and that they had a number of unissued/NIB examples set aside in their inventory. The price? I recall it was something like $216, plus taxes & required FFL fees through a local dealer.

I appreciated his call and offer, but I passed. I simply don't care for the make/model.

It's all about whether you want one or not.
