I have been debating and wanted to see what everyone else thought. What gun do you like better a Heckler and Koch P2000 9mm or a Sig Sauer P228 in a 9mm? I Already have both. Just wanted to get everyones thoughts on these two awesome guns.

P228

I love H&K but hate the the P2000. I hate the location of the decocker. I love the 1911 style safety so I love the USP series.

I have a 228 and a P2000 but it is in .40 S&W. I am not sure which I would rather have. I am a lefty and the decocker on either gun is more favorable to a righty but I would have to say the Sigs decocker is more comfy than the P2000. However I have an LEM decocker so it is a moot point.

I cant really decide because this is a real tough poll. I am going to go with the P2000 simply because I owned that before I owned a 228.

I went with the P228. The P228 is probably one of the best 9mms ever made.
The Sig fits me much better then the Hk.
Both are fine quality guns, but for me - give me a Sig over an Hk or anything else any day.

I can no longer run my SIG's because of arthritis. I only shoot short travel triggers anymore.

I used to compete with my SIG 228 too.

But with that said.

I believe the best fighting handgun ever made is the SIG 228.

Simply the best.

whats the price, could be the deciding factor as both are good guns.

never held a p2000 but i know a 228 fits me well

is thew hk lighter? could be more comfy for cc

so many things to think about, its a toughie

Neither.

I'm not into cop-type bottom feeders, so my vote would have been "Neither."

I prefer my centerfire brass chuckers to be built on the 1911 platform. I'm not downing these two fine firearms though . . . its just that I don't see them used much in handgun competitions when the 1911 guns have such an advantage in most hands.
