What year did Smith and Wesson start the internal locks?

    I thought Clinton was still President when they did that.

    I sure do wish they would drop them. I don't really understand why they don't. They don't put integral locks on their 1911s. What about on their M&P line?

    2001 to 2002 for S&W depending on the model. No idea on the other brands.
