I stopped at the local gun shop at lunchtime to pick up some CCI #11's. There were out but did have a few Remingtons for $6.99 per 100 :what:. I about crapped myself. Told the guy I would wait for the CCI's staggered back to work.

Going to Clearfield, PA tomorrow so I am going to check out Grice Gun Shop. If they are that much I will have to see about making a purchase of powder (black and smokeless), primers, and caps to get them at a reasonable price.

Just curios where y'all are getting your caps and how much ya paying?

KC Area

Well here in the Kansas City Mo. area, around 40.00 CCI 11 Arkansas
around 36.00 Friendship In. 40.00-65.00 I was lucky to buy 10,000
for 35.00 I have been thing about the "Tap-a-Cap" divice also. Flints
have really gone up too. 2.50 each. Oh that was 35 a thousdand not
35.00 for the whole 10,000.

The last time I bought Caps, was about 2-3 months ago at the Gander Mountain for about $5.00 a tin of Remington #11's

Looks like I need to stock up for the long haul.

I checked out Bass pro, for funnies, and figured out they're insane. I don't remember the actual price, just .

Sportsmane Wharehouse has better prices, around here. I've been buyint the little 1075 German caps, in the red plastic container, for $3.69/100. CCI's are just over a dollar more.

was payin 2.89/100 #11 but when the store jumped to 5.25 i bought out what they had at that price(2.89) then i went across town to a different shop i knew wasnt a big bp seller an got a pack/1000 #10 for 30 bucks:neener: so now i got about ~1800 primers for bp, recently been lookin for cartridge primers too cause i gotta conversion cylinder, found some WLP for 3.29/100, some federal for 2.99/100 and a box of 1000 CCI 300's for 36$ total of 2300 lol, i think im set for a little while:evil::D:cool:

I'll bet that they'll last a lifetime or two, or longer if the tin doesn't disintegrate.
Now please don't ask me how long a life time is because I'm only making a guesstimateofitforthefunofitanyway! :D

Gameliel(?) shooting supply has Remington #10 for about $4.10/100 but that is the case price of 5000 caps.

how long will they last in the tin?

A couple of years ago, I found some I'd gotten in about '78. They still went off, after 30 years in non-climate controlled areas (garage and attic).

Stopped at another shop I thought would have them but NOPE! Only had #10's - no #11's. got one other place to check then I'll have to order them off of the internet. The said their price was $5.99/1,000. :what:

I'll try to find a place that has smokless powder, black powder, primers, and caps so I can make full use of hazmat fee!

I bought a thousand RWS 1075 caps from Sportsman's Warehouse this past August for $32.90 + tax. I already had a couple of thousand at home, but I bought them as it seemed like a good price. Seems like a good investment to me anyway.

I also bought a case of the RWS caps at Sportsmans warehouse they are good hot caps ...I could tell when I poped a few they were hotter than the CCI``S I`ve been useing ...No duds so far eaither ..They don`t fit very well on any of my revolvers ...but work fine on my rifles .

Called around today and finally found some CCI #11's. They were $3.55 per 100. :what: Told them I'd be there after work to get a couple 1,000. :D When I got there they only had 6 tins. :cuss:

They also have 'german' percussion caps. They are only $2.98 per 100. I got 1 to try out. If they work they'll be my new caps (for that price). Package say "100 vorderlader-Zundhutchen" No 1075 plus. There gold with green material on the inside. They also have a "U' on them just like the CCI's have a "C". Anyone ever use them?

QuickDraw ..you bought the ones I bought I thought mine were the RWS brand ...but took another look at the tins ...#1075 Dynamit Nobel`s ...Like I said ..they are hotter than the CCI`s ..I wish they fit my Revolver nipples better ...but we can pinch them for the price ..
