What's a Good AR for Coyotes?

Any of them will work but the Bushmaster varminter and RRA predator are my favorites. The Bushmaster Varminter is the most accurate AR I own and it is good for yotes up to 600yds with no wind.
 
I use a Sabre Defence SR15. Any that you're comfortable with will do just fine. Anything over 200 or so yards and I reach for my 25-06.

I use whichever I feel like at the time, lately even my Armalite AR10A2 (combat configuration) has been dealing them hell at long ranges thru my irons, last week even my M1A took one. just cause it says "coyote model" dont mean squat, depends how well you can shoot. to me open sights even at long range make it easier to keep them in my sights for follow up shots.
 
Any AR will kill a coyote, even a .22LR. The purpose-built varmint rigs might be a good choice, or they might be too heavy and long for the kind of shooting that gets presented. You have to pick your rifle to suit the hunting situation you are going to be facing.

So, what are you doing? Calling? Desert flats? Baiting in a clearing in the woods? Staking out the chicken house?
 
Build a lower then buy a rra predator pursuit upper..if money isn't an issue just buy any rock u want already complete..any ar will be adequate but a rock is guaranteed 3/4 moa
 
I just ordered a predator pursuit upper from legal transfers over on ar15.com. I believe it was 565 shipped with a 2 months wait. best price I found on a new one.
 
565 is really good for that upper...i paid 755 but had prolly 180-200 dollars in upgrades installed...if you buy the upgrades separate its about 350...and from rock you get the free upgraded chrome bolt,,,but if you like the way it looks untouched you probably wont find a better deal than 565 shipped
 
congrats on finding the cheapest price ive heard of..i dont say that often...it was better for me to order from rock cuz of the upgrades i wanted

the predator pursuit and bushmaster varminter are both crazy accurate.

there is a guy with one of each that shoots on the 200 yrd lane at my local range and the dude is constantly shooting 3/4" groups @200yds with them.

i got friendly with him and turns out he was building totally sick, shilen barreled custom ar15's back in the early 80's before everybody and their sister owned one, and he says now "there aint no point in building a custom rifle anymore cuz you can just buy one that shoots like these and go straight to work".

he also has a dpms panther-bull (or something like that) and its pretty accurate too, but not like the predator pursuit or the varminter
 
maby a camera would be better suited.
coyotes are living things too you know.....made of flesh and blood.

so , get the camera out to shoot the coyotes.

So are rats. Do you just take pictures of rats as well or do you attempt to exterminate them like the vermin that they are. Coyotes are equally vermin.

Don't complain about Americans not knowing the ground truth when we get involved in something outside our borders and then come in and try to do the same with our domestic matters. Your comments only prove your ignorance on the matter.
 
A camera? Maybe on something special like a wolf or a hot blond on the beach. Coyotes are about as pretty and desirable as a wild hog. It is true that they're made of flesh and blood, that's why you need to choose a good bullet and pick your shots.
