What's similar to a Model 10?

1911 guy,

I went to a large gun show last weekend. The bad news is I saw very few K-Frame S&W revolvers and no Model 10's.

I think folks have found out that the Model 10 does a good job as one size fits all and as a home defense gun.

As more and more folks get concealed carry permits the demand for good used revolvers is only going to increase.

Went back today and again looked at that S&W Model 10-5 2". I have several revolvers and in what I have I do not have a 2". It was a toss up between the 2" pinned barrel and a sweet 4" with the heavy barrel. There were a few Model 15s in there and I do like adjustable sights. Anyway, I got a good price on the Model 10 so I now have another revolver. :)

A 13-3 3" just sold over on the S&W forum for $595 shipped. It had some light freckling, no box no manual.

Update: Success!

I had to stop by a shop to pick up a few boxes of ammo. Briefly perused the handguns and the fellow behind the counter asked if I was looking for something in particular. I was, but didn't expect to to find it at random. I was wrong. A pristine Model 10-5 was traded in the day prior and hand't even been put out for sale yet. I called my friend who made the 20 minute drive and is now the proud owner of an extremely nice revolver for $500.
