I'm considering blowing my Xmas bonus on "investing" in one of these. It will just be a fun gun range toy general purpose shotgun which is something I don't have beyond an ancient mossberg bolt action 20ga. It might see the deer woods or get all zombieland on squirrels but nothing more serious than that.

If I bought one I would probably put a trijicon rx01 reflex sight on it

Mine works well now.

My first trip to the range I had a mis-feed, on the first shot fired, that required me to take the gun apart to clear. I've shot it some, but not a ton since then and it has been 100% ever since. It recoils quite harshly with slugs and 00 buck so be prepared for a handful.

For your intended purpose I don't see an issue. It is a highly innovative, somewhat complex, design and is somewhat prone to short shucking, if you don't have a VFG on it like I have on mine, pictured below.

It requires a bit more force than I feel should be required to cycle the action. Plus, since it is so short, it isn't like an 870 or any other pump, so the motion isn't as natural. It is a lot closer to your body which makes it more difficult to complete the stroke.

I won't be selling mine.

For THAT purpose, you should be fine. For serious HD stuff? I wouldn't. We had one at the local club and shot a variety of ammo through it from the Aguila minis to normal target loads.
We had feed issues, extraction issues and an issue with the tab that lets you switch magazines getting placed in the middle position which lets you dump live ammo out of the mag instead of going into the chamber

Ounce was your example with an early production gun or a more recent example.

I'm under no illusions as to what my collection's purpose is. Pure entertainment. Aside from the nightstand CCW handgun everything I have is just for fun and recreation. I don't even keep a loaded long gun in the house and I doubt I ever will.

I'm interested in this thread as well. I'm drawn to the KSG though i have not handled one. I'm a bit confused as to the issues related to the 1st incarnation of this gun and the Gen2 update. What was changed? Is it still on Gen 2 or has there been further changes?

It really looks cool and the theory behind having that many shells at one's disposal is appealing but if it is plagued with design problems then . . .

There's two more bullpup designs currently being made - one in Turkey by AKUS, and one in CT that is slightly different where it also has two barrels and one pump loads both at once and two pulls of the trigger will fire the barrels in sequence before needing to pump again.
