The Winchester 97....

I own 2 of the "Chinkchester" '97s. One riot gun and one Trench gun. I have had NO reliability probelms with either gun. The riot gun patterned dead on at 7 yards with 00 buckshot. spread could be covered with both hands, all pellets in the chest of a life size human sillouette target. Trench gun needed a little tightening on the barrel shroud, but an original Winchester mfg. 1917 bayonet fit perfectly with no fiddling. Both guns benefitted from being detail stripped, cleaned and lubed. They are shipped with a preservative oil that does not do a very good job as a lubricant.
The riot gun with 2 3/4" magnum buckshot will kick you as hard as any 3" chambered gun you can find.

As far as giving money to the Chi-Coms, I have mixed emotions. But when it comes to putting affordable, reliable, effective guns in the hands of Americans, I have NO doubts at all.

Happy winter-soltice-festival-of-your-choice to all! ;-)
