This pistol is $569 MSRP, but this one is $719. I'm not seeing what is different about them to warrant $150 price difference. They seem to have the same features and finish, from what I can tell. There's nothing on the more expensive one stating why it's got that price tag.

Anyone know?

I read it as "optional" as in you could get the night sights, but it wasn't part of the base package.

As I said in another post

Many things to consider - but a big consideration is

How many rounds do you like to have in your gun.

M&P 9c = 12 rounds & the Shield - 7 rounds - very similar in size.

M&P 9c has changeable back straps - it also has ambi safety -

I went to the store to buy a "Shield" and compared the two side by side

and decided the 9c was for me.

The "shield" could be for you.

I carry my 9c dailey now.

Davis, that has nothing to do with my question. Thanks for the answer 9mm, I'm not familiar enough with their SKUs to know. Pretty much every time I've seen a question asked about the M&P, you've been able to answer it well.
