Well being six foot even and 145lbs I can't conceal very much without a heavy coat. Biggest I have tried concealed in my normal clothing was the glock 20. It was comfortable enough but printed to much for my taste. Gun was to thick and the grip was to long for me to conceal it well. I went back to carrying a j frame 38 even though I would rather have the 10mm. Not every texan can be 6'6 and 300lbs. ;)

Years ago I wore an S&W model 29 with an 8 3/8" bbl. in a Jackass shoulder holster. Now I'm old and carry as light as I can.YMMV.tom.
ETA since this is the auto loader forum I'll say the largest auto I've carried is the 1911.tom.

I'm 6'3" 250 and I carry a LCP or a single shot .22. Never considered anything much bigger CC on my person, it's just not comfortable to me. Now in a hunting/OC sitution 7-1/2" 44. Redhawk or 10" BFR in .500S&W. I imagine I'd probably get shot by the BG in a CC trying to whoop out the BFR or Redhawk. Just not practacle IMO.

you people may be able to comfortally carry a large gun comfortly, but can you draw it fast enough to compete with standard size handguns?

1911 EDC from a non retention IWB at 3:30-4:00? yep... I can get to it plenty fast.
If you dont have your hand in your pocket... I will beat a pocket pistol draw every time.
My 6" .44 in a break front shoulder holster... just as fast.
1911 in my Bianchi Carry Lok... yep, plenty quick.

Well, in this crowd I'm an old, half-crippled up, skinny arse geek. I go 5"9 and 150 lbs. I can conceal and carry a 5" steel 1911 or a 4" N-frame if it's below 55 degrees outside. Long pants, real belt, jacket or sweatshirt.

When it gets above 65 or 70 and the wardrobe changes, it's time to downsize. I carried my Kahr P45 all last summer, including shorts and t-shirt Texas weather. I will be trying to carry a 3' or 4" alloy 1911 thsi summer...we'll see how that goes.

I carry a Dan Wesson Razorback 10mm when I'm not carrying my DW CBOB in .45 auto. The RZ-10 is a full sized 1911. Not to uncomfortable, but the grip can print on my shirt if I'm not careful.

My Dad knew a cop in Thermopolis. WY that carried a Desert Eagle .357 on duty. Me, personally, It's between a Glock 22 and Beretta 92fs...Glock wins for Caliber, Beretta wins for weight.

G20, Sigma, or 4" M19. None of which were fun and I can only carry the 19 without worrying about printing in the summer.
