What's the most obscure handgun you've ever carried?

I've held my brother's Marlin Model XXX .30 caliber rimfire 5-shot revolver. There isn't a point in carrying it since the ammo has been nonexistent for many decades.

Well...

I carried "them" from my Mother-in-laws house to our gun safe...

Don't know why I put them in our gun safe.. These suckers would be perfectly "safe" from theft left in a WalMart cart.

Don't know any millionaire, sans brains, who is out beating the bushes trying to locate a pristine pair of Burgo's do ya?

No problem, just translate that into "Gunbroker-ese" and you're good to go:

"Matching set of rare, consecutively-numbered, German-made revolvers with hard to find nickel finish and faux ivory grips. An extraordinary find for the discriminating collector of fine, late 20th Century European firearms. Reserve set at a reasonable $950. Certificate of authenticity included. Insured shipping and handling is $150."

i haven't gotten one, but i am looking into getting something like these-
a CZ PO-7 Duty

and a CZ 75 compact with crimson trace laser grips. i am debating on if i want a rail underneath or not for the compact.

If the CZ has CT's on it I shouldn't think rails would be a big deal either way.. I don't think many folks would be sticking a light on the rail when you already have Lasergrips on it..

Just personal opinion...

Jesse

P.S. I DO think highly of CT's...:D

My 8 3/3'' Raging Bull .44 magnum. During winter, uncle mikes IWB holster from my glock with a hole cut in the bottom so it would fit.

also a Bryco Jennings .380.

PX15, I've never heard of a Burgo...

Looked it up, read some bad things, but I will say, those are the purdiest pieces of dog poop I do believe I've ever seen in my entire life.

They'd make a good wall display, or something similar... How much are they "really" worth?

1880s Webley Bulldog...in .450 Adams.
Double-Action or Single...5 Shot, overall a little smaller than a J Frame S&W.

Colt, Model 1902 'Sporting', .38 ACP...carried it most every day for most of the mid to latter 1980s.

Nothing too outlandish, but a few uncommon ones over the years.

My first CCW piece was a .44 Bulldog 25+ years ago.

My first semi-auto CCW was a Star PD .45 (great little underrated guns, BTW).

I carried a Bauer .25 (stainless American copy of the Baby Browning) in the little coin-/watch-pocket of jeans way back when my primary was a revolver in my front pocket (that Bauer is a tiny little thing, but mine was a reliable little pea-shooter).

And I have been know to carry one or the other of these...

... on occasion, when nothing else was feasible. :uhoh:

(Sorry for the crappy pic -- it's cropped from a much larger group shot.)

Broomhandle Mauser.

Well...not me but notable.

I was in a gunshop just last weekend. You know how most gunshop guys have an open carry weapon on the hip...at least here in Indiana. Anyway, this older gentleman had a Broomhandle Mauser on his hip. I thought that was something to see...and it was one of the .30 caliber ones because the grip did not have the big "9" carved into it.
