What's the slowest powder for useful 308 loads?

Try N550 with 190SMK's in .308. With my 26" barreled FN SPR, I am able to reach 2700fps and stay within pressure specs. While I have heard that RL17 is also good, I have no experience with it. What with the .308's small case capacity, tough to use slow burning powders and get any velocity.

Thanks for the advice. I still use IMR 4064 with 190's but Varget is working out the best to date. Next time I am at Camp Perry I will look around for N550.
