What's your best gun trade you've made?

Here are a few of my other trades:
Bushmaster "parts gun" AR15 for a UZI-B with factory box in .45 with a UZI 9mm conversion.

SKS paratrooper with 100 rounds of ammo for a Browning High Power Canadian army surplus.

Traded a new in box Norinco AK in .223 for a Colt SP1 AR-15

Traded a Firestar .45 for a mint matching non import Winchester M1 Carbine.

I'm new to gun trading,

because up until now all I did was BUY them and KEEP them forever. Last week, however, I ran across a "gotta have it" rare gun, and rummaged around in my gun cabinet for some stuff that I had lost interest in. I came up with an ANIB Nickel Mauser HSc .380 that I had bought for my wife in 1975 but she had never shown an interest in, and an old AMT 45 Hardballer with Arcadia markings that Lee Jurras himself had sent me back in 1976. Back then stainless 45's were very rare, but I have since moved on to 10mm's and 45 Supers, so having a plain old SS 45 is no longer crucial to me. (And the gun wasn't all that reliable, anyway. :uhoh: )

And the gun I traded for? A very rare ASAI One-Pro 45 that was imported by Magnum Research from Switzerland for only a couple of years, and I had held one about 6 years ago at a gun shop in Southern Arizona. It's sort of a cross between a high end CZ and a SIG. The thing that makes this gun unique is its incredibly light but reliable DA trigger pull, and there's just nothing else like it ever built. The SA is almost as good, and the gun is very reliable, and holds 10+1, and accepts EAA 45 mags. (I already have an EAA 45 with three mags :D )

I Will Have Too Add This One~!

Not exactly a trade of firearms, but I traded a C-note + $20 for a
spic N' span (very minty) 3rd series Colt Agent. This gun dates to
1972-73, and has the beautiful deep blue lustre and Coltwoood
grips. I'd grade it 'bout 99%, as NO cylinder drag line is visible.

This is probably MY best trade ever~! :D

My best trade was a KelTec P11 for a year's worth of range time at the local indoor range. I felt guilty for a while, but the guys at the range didn't seem to hold a grudge.

Well, I traded a very pretty, lightly used, but average, stainless SA Mil-Spec straight-up for a LNIB SIG 226 in .40 S&W -- the 226 is an awesomely reliable tackdriver. I'm happy with this trade.

To be honest, it was probably karma finally catching up to me for all the really crappy, boneheaded trades I've made over the past twenty years ...

Traded a black powder 50 cal for an SKS. Both good shooting guns but I got the BP rifle for free using coupons so I consider this a good trade.

The SKS has turned out to be a decent rifle but I'd have never owned one if paying cash was required since it's commie stuff.

I traded a SIGP230 for a Colt guard finished series 70 Govt model Colt, with MMC adjustible sights. It was dirty and had a little finish wear but was nearly unfired, It had sat under a counter at a store for about 20 years.

I paid $300 for the 230 two years earlier.

It was an even up trade, with a large gun dealer!!!

My best deals

I purchased a Winchester model 61, model 1890, and a model 37 20 gauge from a guy who was offered 100.00 for all three at a local pawn shop for 200.00. I doubled his money and mine was far better.
Also purchased an RPB Mac 10 in .45 with suppressor, 9 mags, mag carrying case, collapsable stock etc. for 800.00.
Sometimes we get lucky.

My 2 best trades:
I traded a Winchester Model 62A for a Marlin 1895 in 45-70 and a Stainless Ruger Single Six Convertible (with both cylinders)

I traded a Davis derringer in .38 spl for a Freedom Arms .44 mag in stainless.

traded a Sig Mosquito for a XD9
Sig was a pain and could not be happier. had others but that one was most recent

Traded a used H&K USP40c and a used Savage Mod 110 in .308 for a Suzuki 250 factory racer + helmet + trailer + leathers + boots + extra parts. Sold the bike and accessories for >$3K...a bit more than the firearms were worth. The owner knew I was getting the better deal but didn't care because he didn't ride the bike anymore and was tired of his wife griping about the room it took up in the garage. He didn't want to put up with the phone calls if he advertised it in the local newspaper.

I traded a firestar M40 that I did not like, it had a stovepiping problem, so I traded it on a Taurus Mil-Pro 40, best decision I ever made. The Taurus is awesome. I got $200 for the firestar, only had to pay $180 for the Taurus.:D

I also traded a Ruger P-94 40 for an XD 40. Again, very good decision, in my opinion the XD = superior gun. I got $225 on trade for the Ruger.

Oh yeah, how could I have forgotten...my first-ever gun deal was when I was a teen. I paid $100 for two Mod 94s and a Ruger 10/22. I sold one 94 for $65 and the 10/22 for $50, then used the other Mod 94 for many yrs and finally sold it for $150.00, years later.

Dang, if only I could do that well with cars and houses!
