What's Your Dream Find?

ANY pre-war Colt, NIB.

Though a Mauser C-96 would be nice. Or an HKP9S in .45. Oh wait, I meant an Auto-mag! Kidding the pre-war Colts trump them all.

Documented Thompson M1A1 that saw action in WWII.

Oops, this is the Handgun forum.

In that case, I would want Gen. Patton's ivory handled SAA.

Oops, this is the Handgun: Autoloaders forum

In that case I'll take... Hmm.

The 1911 Grandad had in WWII.

After all, this is "dream find", isn't it?:D

The Star pd 45 i learned to shoot a pistols with it was stolen about a year after i got to where I could shot it right.

one shot one kill

I'd like a Colt Commander for under $500, since I just picked up a Mil-Spec for $380... I'm feeling lucky

I'll build it myself, just need the frame and slide

A P7 in .45 would be cool. The coolest/rarest piece I would consider "Dreamy" that's in my safe?? I have a "one of 50" SIG 229 New Hampshire Ltd. Edition. Serial 50/50.

One of the 10 or so fully transferrable full auto CZ-75s floating around in the US, for sale for the transfer tax stamp cost.....I hate waking up after a good dream.

Assuming proper documentation . . .

Hirohito's own personal Nambu . . . or, for that matter, Tojo's.

Hitler's own personal PPK . . . preferably the one he shot himself with. (Was it a PPK?)

Kaiser Wilhelm's own personal Luger . . .

A Mauser Schnellfeuer-Pistole . . .

A pristine, NIB Artillery luger with shoulder stock, snail drum mag, all accessories . . .

A Colt 1911 with a single-digit serial number . . . (had a chance at #7 once, didn't have the $2000. :banghead: )

The Ithaca-built 1911 my Dad carried in the Pacific during WWII . . .

Oh, and I'd like them all given to me by a little old lady who hated her rich, late husband's gun collecting, and just wanted to get rid of them. :neener: (Except for the specific guns, this is not so far fetched a scenario . . . a friend of mine added about 8 or 10 guns to his collection from a neighbor in just such a deal.)

That gun that furncliff is showing is a KORTH. My ultimate dream gum would be a fully automatic Heckler and koch mp5. With all the rounds. OH YEAH!

Some of you guys are really dreamin'.

My "realistic" dream find would be a Kimber pre-series II Gold Combat in SS for less than $800. Not likely, but possible.

My pie in the sky dream would be a Yost full custom job and and an original SAA in great shape.

Any prewar 6" Smith in pristine condition, in a fully carved belt and holster, worn by a six foot, naked red head a few days afeter her eigteenth birthday,,,Who here could argue with my selection?...Essex

A Clackamas Kimber for $200 and a Wasr, only I didn't even know what I had when I got it. :p

An early NIB Gold Cup would be nice though.

For the longest time I dreamed of finding a papered Thompson in my Grandfather's attic. When he passed, I searched that house from top to bottom; no Tommy. I did, however, find a really nice 1903 in his gun cabinet.

How much is that korth on sale for?!

The single action colt my Grand dad had when I was kid. One of his friends got it when he passed. It was 44 special I think. I cant figure who got it. He used to carry in the backpocket of his over alls when he fished and putted around the house. It kinda just hung out and he did not care who saw it.
