I understood the question in the parameters set. I just thought it was counter productive for "real shooting". I mean with the current cost of components why waste money on loading anything less than top quality full power ammo.
One never knows how long this shortage may last and I refuse to waste time or money on play ammo when full power ammo is just as viable.
I understand and respect your point of view but I'm in the opposite camp, one of the reasons I've gotten back into the .357 is 14gr. of 2400 or 5gr. of Universal versus
20.5gr. of 2400 and 8gr. of universal for the .44 Mag. Keep in mind we are talking "target Loads" , punching tight groups on paper or hitting steel plates.
I can cast bullets and reuse brass but I can't make primers or powder. This is my hobby and I shoot quite a bit, I usually bring along a .22 to warm up with.
