I love cleaning them after a range session. I love the smell of Hoppe's and the oils, and the whole process.
I was going to mention this - but I was afraid the hive may think I'm nuts. I love it when I have time to do a deep clean and the results show. There is something about acquiring a gun, firing it - but until I do a deep clean, it does not seem to be "mine". Rather it's a combination of both shooting and cleaning. For example when I get a used specimen, I always learn it well, deep clean it, THEN fire it - bring to the shop, clean it again - and now I feel like it's a keeper.
