Well, of non-'my guns' two come to mind. A very low production Ruger Blackhawk in 44 Special. Not Magnum, a Special. And it's a Blackhawk, not a Super Blackhawk. Father in Law inheireted it from his brother when he passed on and wrote to Ruger asking about it's origins. At first, Ruger claimed that they never made one. With a little more information, they claimed that they did indeed build a few. This one was originally delivered to a Sheriff somewhere in Texas, in El Paso I believe. Great gun. Original finish, very worn but not abused at all. Lots of history, not sure if that's good or bad. His brother was in a lot of trouble with the law in various states in the Southwest. Funny thing is, I've never even shot it - it just seems that that would almost take away some of the mystique.
Second one is also property of the Father in Law and also a Ruger - No 1 Varmint in 22-250 with the stainless metal and dark gray laminated stock. Beautiful gun. Older V16 Weaver scope. Accurate as heck and excellent trigger.
Of my guns, I like my 700PSS and my Winchester 70 Coyote largely because if the scope on it. I've put a lot of rounds through my old Dan Wesson 22 and I'm currently infatuated with my Ishapore Enfield 2A but I guess my favorite is my Colt 1991A1 customized (WWII-ized, I call it) by Ned Christiansen.
