which one is my favorite?
Almost any S&W. (j/k/l/n frames, I love them all).
Almost all Rugers, especially the single six, the redhawk, and the blackhawk.

I agree with ol retired gunny, when things get hairy, grab a 1911. The fact is I find revolvers boring. Of course I know they are every bit as capable as a pistol in the right hands, I just don't care. The one exception to that is the 1877 Colt Lightnings and Thunderers, even if I've never fired one. I almost bought one a couple of times now, but I just can't stand the idea of destoying one shooting it or having one and seldom if ever shooting it.
My favorite revolvers are my three S&W model 657 Mountain Guns chambered in 41 magnum. This is my everyday carry gun.Other favorites are all other S&W 41 MAGNUMS,S&W 625 Mountain Gun in 45 acp,my five inch 27-2 and 3 inch K frames.
S&W 642...cuz it's the only gun left after selling off collection due to lost job and I haven't found a better pocket gun
Ruger GP100...the last full size revolver I had; built well; ease of cleaning and maintenance; easy to load and handle
S&W 686...I've owned a few; my father owns one; univerally accepted; well built; better resale/trade in value
S&W 19...I gave a 6" barrelled model to my father; he owned a 4" before trading it on his 686; nice compromise for someone who shoots more .38's than magnums
S&W 625 or 22...I like .45acp and I miss my 625 that I traded it off a while ago; I should have held onto it; now impossible to replicate due to financial situation
S&W 629...I tried .44 magnum for a while; a great all around hunting round; ammo cost too much to train with & I don't reload; great defensive loads in .44 special for HD
Probably my Ruger Blackhawk 41mag. It was my woods gun for many years. Looking at it, just brings back memories. I retired it for a G20. Time marches on. I still take it with on all my shooting outings. It's funny, I have many revolvers worth more in dollars, but I'm not sure any, are worth more to ME!
My recent acquisition FN Herstal Barracuda 3inch barrel, 357 mag, blued, with pinned barrel and recessed cylinder for $320.
It has been a ebar to find a 3inch Smith, but the FN came along, and it is a nice addition.
For a 30 year old gun sitting in a crate somewhere, it is pretty rock solid in design. The funky front trigger gurad area and crane guard makes finding holsters a bit tricky, but it is a solid lock-up gun.
I love 3in blued revolvers. 357 Mag is nothing to sneeze at.
