Like other who have posted in this topic, I don't have just one favourite revolver. The first wo choices I have examples of, the last is something I hope to find someday soon.

1. S&W M&P/Model 10/"Victory Model" Revolver. Currently I have one 1960's era Model 10-5 with standard 4" barrel. Will be getting a .380" British version of the "Victory Model" revolver soon. Hope to also find a U.S. .38 Special "Victory Model" as well.

2. Webley & Scott Ltd. Revolvers. I like the whole lot. As of right now I have one Post-WWII Commercial made .380" Mk. IV, I hope more come my way in the future.

3. S&W .38/44 Heavy Duty. I have had a growing interest in these revolvers for the past few months. I know the odds of my finding one (that I can afford) are nil at this point, but I had to list it anyway. In the future I plan on buying a .357 Magnum to have for backpacking, I'd love to find one that resembles the old .38/44 Heavy Duty, that would be a good compromise.

Those are the "top three" for me now.
Thanks
Mark

S&w model 27-2

the model 27 has always been my favorite revolver and i got a chance to one several years ago at a gunshow... s&w model 27-2 made in 1968..... perfect!!

LIFE IS SHORT.....

My favorite revolver type would be the S&W Model 27 in it's many variations. I have more of these than anything else.

Favorite specific revolver is more difficult. I might lean towards this 5" nickel 27-2 but that's not written in stone.

This is my .45 LC Bisley Blachawk put together for me by John Gallagher in the early 90's. The grips are Eagle sambar stag fitted and shaped by John as well.

I have a thing for k-frame Smittys. I have them in both .38(Models 10 and 64) and .357 (Model 13), all with 4" barrels. They just seem to be the "it" guns for me. Everything about them is right. Handy size, enough weight to handle recoil, easy to shoot accurately, mechanically robust, and aesthetically pleasing in all finsihes: blue, stainless or nickel. They're too clumsy for concealed carry, but I have a couple of little peashooters to handle that duty. ;)

This is silly because SaxonPig has answered it. The finest Revolver is the S&W 27, and perhaps in the 5" barrel.

I don't have a nickel 5" yet, so I content myself with a blue 3.5" model. I do own more S&W .357s than any other handgun model, though not all N frame or any specific barrel length. But I do agree that a 5" N frame is a good thing. I have that in other calibers and they are all very sweet handling guns.

My only 27:
