I shot at a 100 yd target with a SAA 45 Colt.
Hit the dirt in front of the target.

Finally hit the target, but had to aim about a full foot & a half above the target

238 yds shooting full size ram silhouettes. Using my Cz-85 or my friends glock 17. Usually takes a mag or two to walk it in but even then its maybe two or three hits a mag. We only do it for fun 99% of our shooting is under 50 yards.

Useing a S&W mod.10 & handloads I hit a buzzard at about 200 yards by laying over top of car. A very lucky shot! Load was 140gr. +P. Hit was 2nd. Rd. That was some years back, did alot more shooting then.

probably was dumb but i shot a 40s&w off the top of a 14,000 ft peak once in that altitude
it probably went along way or smacked another mountain who knows

About 100 yards with my stock SR-9. I can hit a shooting clay at that distance, but it takes a steady hand and 5 or 6 tries on a good day! My buddy can hit them all day with his Glock 30... that thing really is as accurate as folks make it out to be. 60 yards on a shooting clay is much more reasonable.

Bowling pin at 205 ft. (measured with tape) using both my 92FS and my Taurus 44SS4.

That's also the farthest I've ever tried to shoot with a pistol. I don't own a large tract of land.

Just under 200 meters with a 1911A1.:what: Of course, I can whoof no pooh on accuracy. We had some .45 tracer from some sub-caliber training device or other and wanted to watch the arc of a 1911 in the indirect fire mode. Basically, we were shooting .45 caliber mortars for fun. Most of the tracers burned out prior to impact but the dust was apparent.
The 'Nam guys told us stories about carrying the rounds to fire through triple canopy for extractions - we were intrigued and without adult supervision.

I can hit a 6 inch steel square at 50 yards with my makarov. usually hit about 50% of the shots. usually its just a fun way to burn some ammo at the end of a range session.

Can do 4" groups at 18,288 Centimeters......sounds more impressive when measured in metric.

Several of us when younger use to play at 200 yards with our revolvers and get prety good at it. 44mags and 357's. Today with bad eyes I use a red dot on my DW44 and that will still allow 3" groups at 100 yards when shooting at a 6" black dot.

Watch hickok45 videos and you can see he is better than the average good shooter at distances with short barrel pistol.

When my oldest son was 12 we were shooting a 6 inch steel swinger at 100 yards with a couple of our Ruger 10/22s. At the end of our rifle session he got out his Ruger Single Six (22LR) and said "Dad do you think I can hit the target with my revolver?" Of course I said "no way but if you do you forever have bragging rights". I'll be darned if that kid didn't nail it first shot! I told him to do it again and he wisely said "nope, once was enough." So I guess he has permanent bragging rights. I suppose he earned it.
