ARM Pistol

Had it for a few months and then sold because I'd had it.
Regretted selling it walking away and still to this day.:banghead:

Not a great gun, but a unique one and very difficult to find.

I saw one of these at the last Indy 1500 gun show I was at...which was probably 15 months ago or so.

The Hk-94 converted to a MP-5 reg. rec with dual push-pins.Good freind has one for sale but at $25,000 I can't afford it.

BAR, not that I have $25k laying around to spend on one. I'd settle for a semi auto from Ohio Ordnance works if Santa is listening.

I have handled a few Automags, never had the alignment of available money and the pistol at the same time.

I'd love a Rock-Ola carbine, though it seems Winchesters are even hard to get. Some kind of carbine needs to be in my safe.. I've been watching Enforcer auctions of late.

I was fortunate to own the biggest "unicorn" of my life for over twenty years. It was not importable to the USA when I re-located from the Canadian Arctic to Nevada in '97.

That firearm was a .303 BREN light machine gun. I was trained on the BREN by the Canadian Army in the '50s and grew to love that gun. Until '79, machineguns were available on the open market in Canada, only needing federal registration. They were under the same restrictions as handguns, and were FAR less-expensive than the same guns in the USA

The gun has now been destroyed in Canada, but I surely enjoyed owning it...

I suppose I have a few. One is an HK UMP. I have a USC on layaway, and when I pick it up I'll start saving money to do an UMP conversion. My dream is/would be to get the stamps to make is a suppressed SBR.

My Browning Hi-Power would also be a unicorn gun if I had the cash to send it to C&S to have it tricked out (beavertail welded on, new night sights- if we're talking unicorn make 'me adjustable night sights!).

An HK416 is also a dream of mine, along with an integrally suppressed .300 Blackout from Daniel Defense.

Gives food for thought as far as that next or new wishlist item when you think you've got everything you'd want (yes, it can happen).


No real unicorns I can contribute to the thread, unfortunately. I have a couple of desired items on the horizon, but they're common and easily obtained compared to the kind of things people have listed.

Same here. I picked up a 1980(?) Gun Digest in 1983 or so and it had a long article on the Auto Mag. I fell in instant lust.

Ten years later I was making enough money to buy one, even though the prices had gone way up. But the only ones I could find in those pre-internet days were bubba-gunsmithed or broken, and parts were unobtainium.

I went through periodic Auto Mag fits after that, but the prices kept going up, and my "discretionary income" did not.

For the last couple of years, I've been collecting parts from eBay, forum swap sections, Gunbroker, Walter Sanford's estate, online parts vendors, and Auto Mag owners with spare parts. I now have all 63 pieces to assemble a Franken-gun. All of the bits have to be "fitted", since the factory's (lack of) quality control didn't result in truly interchangeable parts, but I'll get there in the end...

At that moment in time I was thinking of collecting the Colt Snake guns but real life kind of stuck its nose into my dream and I stepped away.
