I am basically a Colt 1911 .45 ACP, and S&W .38SPL., .357, etc. man.
Just 1911's and S&W revolvers (but I do make exceptions).

After arthritis and other senior citizen's complications, I presently find semi-autos in disfavor . Oh, I'll still keep my 1911's, since I find it still fairly easy to operate.

With semi's, I'm tired of malfunctions, jams, stiff slides, and loading mags in the field.

How do you feel ?:)

You could say that I'm pretty much down with .357 Mag 4"

I also have a couple of 1911's and an S&W M 59 that I also like shooting, no malfunctions, jams, etc.

But I especially like my .357's

It depends on how I feel about chasing brass when I go shooting.:)

I will admit that I have been having more fun with revolvers these days.

I didn't even own a revolver 2 years ago. Then a buddy talked me into buying a gp100. I have not purchased anything but revolvers since.

Revolvers Are Your Friends

I usually carry an S&W Model 638, and a Model 10-6 is by my bedside. Also other J frames, but I like Colt's too. My favorite is a Police Positive .38SPL. (4") in about 99.5% condition.:)

Well I love 9mm revolvers, but I can't fire them as accurately or as quickly as I can fire semi-autos.

I haven't yet found a major caliber revolver that is as light or as concealable as the Rohrbaugh R9 - the Ruger LCR is probably as close as it gets.

Can't imagine being without my S&W and Ruger revolvers! My preferred carry, bedside and hunting tools.

All you really need to be happy is some flavor of the S&W M25-2. 45 ACP in an excellent revolver!

Love them both equally. In a semi-auto probably more 1911 variants than anything else and in revolvers the single action rules the roost!

I feel tired and achy so I'll keep my revolvers when the semi-autos are gone.

Had to copy. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying wadcutter shooting these days. Leads to more than a couple-three past sales regrets. Yup, that's November 23rd grass in the pic.

A man's just gotta have a few wheelguns in the collection! I recently bought myself a brand new 6" S&W Model 586-8 with the target sights. Been wanting one for 35 years and finally stumbled on this one. Although it's new and unfired, it was priced as used. The PO had ordered the wrong thing and when he received it, he immediately traded it right back in on the gun he really wanted. So, it had to be sold as "used". And then I came waddling in.....

I still have autos but now days carry a revolver most of the time. I can shoot either pretty well but the revolver is what ends up on the hip. As I get older the revolver seems easier to operate.

Have also been carrying and shooting revolers more than others lately. Kind of nice not chasing the brass around. Still love my 1911's!

You could say that I prefer revolvers over semi-autos with about a 6 to 1 ratio. I still like semis, but I’m getting to old and decrepit to chase the brass.

Have you tried the S&W 342PD? Just at 10oz.

I'm currently tied on pistols to revolvers but the wheelguns are my favorite as well as most carried.
