I have a Marlin 80 that was sold by JC Penney as a Marlin 2035, ( Both JCPenney and marlin are stamped on the barrel) and I bought it used a few days ago. I know they were made over a long period of time and you can identify the dae by ceratin characteristics, and I was wondering if anybody could help me on it. I know it's a later model becuase it has a serial number. It has an open rear sight and no frontsight, just a scope. The trigger guard is plastic, which I know was switched from metal at some point when they were being made, and the stock has a picture of a praire dog milled in both sides.
