When will the LCP be readily available?

I have been wanting one of these since they were introduced! The problem is, I have not even seen one in person yet!! Where are all of them? I keep getting told "next week" from the local shops... Has Ruger vamped up their production yet? i just might have to go Kel-tec... Sorry for the rant.

Also, I would love to see some pictures of them if you got'em...

There has been one sitting in the display case at a local sporting goods store since they came out. I think another local shop has one too. I see them all over. But yet I keep hearing that people can't get them?? I don't understand.

All you have to do is go to Gunbroker.com and buy one. They're not in short supply. I could have bought one pretty much any day of the week since I heard about them.

I'm probably going to get one but am going to wait until the great rush is over and prices come out of the stratosphere. Right now, they're going for $300 to $350 which I think is a bit much for a handgun that's mostly plastic.

They are readily available now. I've seen them in gun shops locally since they came out.
And as was said, you can get one off gunbroker.com any day of the week.
I have a Kel-Tec and it functions 100%, so I'm in no hurry to join the gun of the month club.

In some parts of the country they seem to be more available than others. The only one I have heard of in my area has a big tag attached to it that says NOT FOR SALE. They are taking orders for it and are about 10 on the list.
I would think this time next year they will be everywhere and the price will come down some. I think I read that Ruger is turning out about 500 per week.

Depends on what part of the country. Here in Vegas I have yet to see a single one on a dealer shelf. At the most recent gun show none of the sellers had them either.

I got mine off TFL.com from wild west guns. 279.00 shipped. He had two more about a week ago for 289.00 shipped.

I see them occasionally around here at gunshows for 335 and up.

Not so available here. I suspect lots of metros at the bottom of the wholesalers list are the same.

If I understand correctly, there were three times the orders placed than anticipated. I would not expect market saturation until after December. It's going to take some time to fill all the orders - pricing by some dealers will put off those who were hoping for standard discounts - so demand will string out until regular retails are reached. I would not be surprised to see them still moving briskly this time next year, but at least they should be on the shelf.

Maybe I'll have one before Xmas. :banghead:
