When will the primer shortage end?

When will the primer/ammo shortage end? Never! As soon as Obama takes over the Ammo/Firearm industry as he did the auto industry there will be nothing available to the American public. It's only going to get worse.

One day, probably in late 2009, we will start to realize that primers are starting to show back up on the shelves. Kind of like AR's and powder already have since the Panic started back in October or so.

In the meantime, lots of swaps, loans and "digging into the emergency supply" will happen- but our sport will be fine.

I'm a seriously competitive shooter that usually goes through over 2500 rounds per month between matches and practice. I'm a little annoyed, but I am working more on dry practice and saving my primers for matches- no big deal.

I'm not a high-volume shooter, nor a high-volume reloader, but I do have many thousands of brass cases in several calibers, all cleaned and polished. I also have thousands of bullets, a few pounds of powder, and a few thousand primers, but not what I'd call a "hoard". Some might call it that, but not me. Wife just thinks I'm nuts.

Anyway, I'm thinking of loading up as much ammo I can with what I have, and then stashing it away. The grandson and I have more fun plinking with our .22's anyway, and I'll have plenty of pistol/rifle ammo to get me through the "drought".

The next big 'shortage' will occur in November 2016, and it will be big. It will start with the landslide election of President Nancy Patricia Pelosi...

My God, she's already a turkey-necked old hag as it is, I can't imagine what she'd be like then! You tryin' to make us all ill?

Hey Dog, I feel your pain, my wife thinks I'm nuts also. I can't wait for my 2 1/2 year old grandson to get old enough to take to the range and shootl. Maybe by that time we can get the ammo we want to shoot.
