Thanks again bds for all the info. I appreciate your time and trouble posting it for all of us.
I Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
I was actually able to pick up a pound of Unique (first time using it) and BLC(2) locally. $30 a pound...ouch. I don't mind paying a little more to support my LGS but ~$10 a pound premium seems a little steep.
At least things seem to be getting better.

It seems Recob raised prices on IMR powders (8-10%?). I bought 1 pound 4064 last month for $21 in the store last month, and 8 lb was $157. Now they are $23 and $170. I'm not accusing them, just an observation. I'm afraid that we'll pay more for components in (near) future when they are more available.

1 pounders of BL-C 2 at Recobs again!

Whoops, Bds already got it!

If anyone runs across a 8lb 2000-MR by Alliant, please let me know.

I keep checking Recon, 3rd Gen, PV, Cabelas, NSS and Midway daily, and haven't seen it yet.

Is there any other places I could check?

jwrowland77, there are 1 lb containers of 2000-MR available but not 8 lb containers.

If you want another search engine, try reloadersearch.com and type in "2000-MR" and you'll get in/out of stock results.

However, like gunbot.net, reloadersearch.com doesn't search for all the vendors we often order from like Gamaliel Shooting Supply which also has 1 lb of 2000-MR in stock and 8 lbs out of stock.

Keep trying and if I see any, I will PM you first. ;)

I haven't posted the availability of Power Pro line of pistol/rifle powders but with popular powders still not readily available, I may start posting their availability too.

Looks like 2000-MR is good for .223/.308. Perhaps I should try it.

Having little luck finding brass and bullets for .41 Magnum. I need .410 jacketed or gas check bullets, preferably 210g XTP or similar weight and hollow point from another brand. Anything toward the economy side could have any point configuration. I will be loading light for lead without gas check and strong for hunting. My gun is S&W 57 - 8 3/8" barrel with scope.

Could use a heads up, if anyone runs across a supply. Doesn't have to be low priced...I'll decide, but some of what I have seen is crazy, like a buck or more each for bullets alone.

I did find 100 cases, shipped from Alaska to South Carolina. That's a first.

The one piece of my puzzle missing is hp38/win231. I havent seen it since I last bought a couple cans at the lgs in july and im down to nothing but a couple pounds of bullseye and a pound of unique (tough world, right?) The bullseye will work just fine but im getting ready to do a 3k run of 38 spl and I'd like to keep it consistent with my usual charge of hp38.

On a side note, today I managed to find the large pistol primers ive been on the hunt for and after a little negotiation I picked up 7k WLP and 4k WSP at $32 a pop after tax. Im happy, I was able to get what I wanted and only paid about a buck more than if I were to buy the wolf large pistol primers that are available online now.

it is nice to see a few things creeping back but the missing piece of my puzzle is still no .310 bullets in 123 to 125gr fmj. i think that most people shoot the steel case crap nobody will make bullets for us that have brass for 7.62x39mm. please make .310 bullets again or do i have to start making my own. where are the .310 bullets????

http://www.XtremeBullets.com/category-s/48049.htm x-treme has .312 plated bullets that are for 7.62x39. They are cheap and will definitely work in a pinch until other companies start manufacturing .312 bullets again.

thanks to all for finding the .310s. i have used grafs for 54r and 7.62x39 brass and .311 bullets but most of the .310 bullets i have come to find are barnes not paying that price stuff. now to scrape enough money up:eek:

Anyone know of a place online for pistol powder? I just got into reloading. Got all my 9mm ready to take a charge of powder but am now stuck at this stage. I have bullets already but no powder!

What pistol calibers are you looking to reload?

Are you looking for full-power or lighter target loads?

And what type of bullets are you planning to reload (jacketed/plated/lead)?

That's the million dollar question bud.

9mm and 380 jacketed
In theory, you could use powders you can find published load data for but may not be ideal for the bullet or the type of load you are wanting.

You can frequently check the vendors on this link that has "in stock" search parameter already set for powders - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=9096157#post9096157M
