I want honest, proven, reliable stats on FPS and energy.Havent been able to locate factory specs anywhere. This is wanted for the line in general but mostly the 9mm 145gr HP's.

Don't know about FPS and horsepower. _Reliability_ for the 5 boxes of 9x18 I bought was the pits.

Brown Bear Ammo

I haven't tried the Silver Bear but I've gone through about 4500 rounds of it's FMJ cousin, the Brown Bear. The case is listed as "bi-metal". I'm not sure what that means. I know that the cases are a softer metal than the Wolf stuff so it's probably easier on the hardware. I've found it for $4.50/box and so far it is great plinking/practice ammo. I've never had a mis-fire or jamb. It also comes in a tightly packed box so it takes up less space in the gig bag. Hope this helps.

Cheap ammo is a deal to a point....Silver Bear is THE ONLY ammo to jam in my S&W's and My CZ's....After taking an hour or two to get the last one out...(over expansion)...

The last box was clocked at 100 FPS, 48 rnds as it went from my hand into the garbage :D

Shoot well

I've been curious about the velocity of the 120gr 9x18, myself.

I posted pictures of expanded SilverBear 9x18 JHPs on TFL, quite impressive to say the least. However, I had serious issues with OAL causing fluctuations in feed reliability.

The Russian IJ-70 still serves as a "car gun", but stoked only with Norinco 95gr FMJs (the Mak's favorite snack).
