Going by memory, the usual suspects. Sporting events, parades, schools, State or Federal offices. We recently moved and I went in the local post office yesterday for the first time. They had a metal detector at the door!
I guess he means people who get hurt when you shoot them.He said the proposal should also cover places with “vulnerable populations” ...
You can bet that any sort of criminal activity by a permit holder will get huge press, while any act of goodness by a permit holder will get none.In coming years, NJ residents will gradually begin to learn that carrying a concealed gun in public does NOT equal "bad guy with a gun".
This is huge, they are effectively banning carry in any retail establishment. I think it also applies to residences if you do not ask and are given permission.NY is getting ready to sign into law that you can’t carry into an establishment unless the have signage posted stating you can.
In other words, even if the store, for example, doesn’t care if you are carrying, if there is no sign stating you can then you can’t.

In Alaska anyone legal to own a gun can carry it, open or concealed, no CC required.
For CC, its Schools, court houses, bars and you Gotta tell a cop you may encountered that you are armed ........but none Ive told none have wanted to see it.
NY is planning for new restrictions, vote any minute. Violation will be a felony, up to 4 years prison time.
From a NY Times article:
"Legislative leaders and the governor appeared to have reached an agreement on a list of locations where guns would be banned: health care facilities, including nursing homes and domestic violence shelters; houses of worship; colleges and universities; places where children gather, such as day care centers, playgrounds, parks and zoos; public transportation; places where alcohol or cannabis is consumed; and theaters, arenas, concerts, casinos and other entertainment venues.
Under the plan being considered, carrying a weapon in a prohibited area would amount to a felony punishable by up to four years in prison."
Not sure how I'm supposed to know such a thing--do I do a title search before I use the rest room?
That sounds kinda fishy to me. Are there any national parks in Minnesota? I'm asking because I know I can legally carry in Yellowstone National Park, and the whole darned park is federally funded. Maybe it's just illegal for me to carry in the restrooms and hospitals (if there are any) when I visit Yellowstone, huh?I'm taking a carry class as we speak (listening online) for Minnesota and they made a really questionable claim: any facility that ever accepted Federal funds are prohibited for carry, e.g., any hospital, even including a rest room in a state park that was built using Federal funds.
