Where did Fiocchi ammo go?

I know people are buying ammo like crazy, but I haven't seen any Fiocchi ammo for sale in a long long time. Did they stop importing it into the USA? They make my favorite .357Mag load.

They were selling ammo made in the USA under contract, my bet is the actual manufacturer found it better to make their own label - it was good ammo.

Agreed. I bought 400 rounds of Fiocchi 115 gr. 9mm last Summer...awesome, clean, accurate and the brass (which was what I was after) has now been reloaded enough times that the initial investment was cheap comparatively.

I bought a bunch of Fiocchi in those 100 round sealed cans for like $25. Good luck finding that now....

There has been a steady stream of 158 gr. .357's coming to my area, then to my ammo box, and then sailing down range for the last two months.

I too tried some of the 9mm Luger ammo from Fiocchi,,,
It ran perfectly in my CZ-75B.

I would not hesitate to buy any ammo with the Fiocchi name on it,,,
I just wish they were making more of it.

I bought a case of Fiocchi 115 grain 9mm brass last week in Butler GA.
I have purchased over 1,000 rounds of Fiocchi 9x18 from online sources in the past 2-3 months. Selway Armory was where I got my last shipment.

So, apparently it's still out there but not where I have been looking...

Good to know as it's my favorite stuff. Luckily I'm burning all my own hand loads now and have not purchased ammunition for a few months. So, I guess I don't search as hard for it. Until I get my Wife's new Glock 42 and have to start buying/loading .380 and in that case I'll be looking for 400+ rounds of Fiocchi .380.

I was in a friends gun shop today as a matter of fact, he had bunches of 9mm, 357, a few boxes of 38 spl. and was unpacking a boxful of .40's, he had plenty.

I love Fiocchi, great ammo in all my guns. It was always available in WA, I see it intermittently here in NH.

I've been able to buy a half dozen boxes of Fiocchi .357 magnum 125gr SJHP ammo on line in the last six months. It has not seemed any more scarce than any other good ammo has been.

Everyone seems to love Fiocchi, yet for me, it was the only brand I've tired in the 9mm variety, which left grainy deposits all over the gun. No other ammo does it and they are pain to clean out.

I like to see more stuff from the Ozarks Forrest with C.I.P monogram their JHPs were same as Black Hills at almost have the cost......NICE!

I like most of the European brands of ammo.

Sellier & Bellot, Fiocchi, Prvi Partisan, even Wolf (if the price is right).

They shoot just as well, sometime better and cleaner, than most American companies like Remington and Federal, for quite a bit less money. I had me some S&B .357 magnum 158 gr. FMJs that shot so well through my GP100. Extremely clean, consistent and accurate. Much better than the cheap Federal red box stuff. Might as well be loaded with black powder they are so dirty!

Well, the specific load I am looking for is the Fiocchi 357E, their 148gr HP. If anyone finds any, it's just about perfect for a Marlin 1894c.

I saw Fiocchi ammunition in numerous calibers all over gunbot.net this week.

I have stayed away from Fiocchi due to trouble with cartridge OAL too long and not feeding through my magazines in a couple of .25 ACP pistols. After reading so many positive remarks about it in this thread, I may have to give it another try, at least in my revolver calibers.

I tried some in .38 Super. However, it seemed a bit under-powered, and I would get some FTE's and subsequent jams. The same guns handled Winchester, Remington, and Federal with no problems at all.

The .45 ACP ammo was just fine; as were the .38 Special WC's. The WC's ran perfectly in my Model 52-1 S&W, and it's usually finicky about what it gets.

Good stuff overall, though.
