I checked in to the RMR website to get some 158 grain bullets to load some 38 specials. The last time I got some there were at least 8 or 9 bullet options ranging from pulled JHP to plated and their Thundercast lead in various weights. Today there were some 110gr frangible and 125gr plated. That was it! I clicked the contact us button to ask where the bullets went. They are usually fairly prompt so I will likely hear back tomorrow.
Which one of you guys bought all the bullets?

I follow them on Facebook and he made the comment this morning they just hired someone to run the 68gr bullet machine and 147gr 9mm so those should be back around. No disrespect to the guy but maybe they are becoming too big and cant keep up so need more employees.

Bought some 158gr truncoated hard cast right before Christmas, had plenty of options then. Wish they would sell a RNFP.

Wonder if there was a surge of component orders after the news hit yesterday?
Can we please not go there :). Its very sad what happened and all the and yes, something needs to be done like school doors locked, police officer or armed security officer in schools 6-12grade. RMR has been having some issues lately based on their Facebook posts and the post today asked if 147gr and 3GH bullets would be available and they said they hired someone to fill those orders. I'm guessing they cant keep up with supply and demand. I seen a post from Jake saying lead and copper was going up too so maybe they are having an issue getting it. I sincerely doubt that everyone whipped out a credit card last night when they got home from work. :)

They got back to me pretty quick ad said they would have some plated 158 grain bullets in stock next week . Other calibers seemed to be in good supply

Been asking the same question. My guess is they’ve just been so busy with new products and moving to new building.

Prefer doing business with Jake. One stop shopping and bullets I have loads worked up for keeps things easy. Just verify batch to batch and use toolheads setup for that particular bullet and go. Some of what I shoot has not been available for a while or not available when I need to make an order, such as the 38spl bullets you mention. I now buy those from Acme bullets. Those have worked out so well that I’ll try their 9mm 124gr RN next. The 9mm I was setup for was not available for awhile on RMR, too. Stocked up with a lot of Xtreme and Berry’s during all the great sales a few weeks ago to fill that void. But, Jake seems to be caught up on 9mm and his product line in that caliber looks impressive.

Still looking for some bulk .30-30 150 grain bullets. Minute of armadillo at 50 yards type.

Yep, I like supporting RMR for the 9mm but prices on the 38spl are a tad higher than berrys and extreme and with extremes 20% off sale at Cabelas last night i scored 500 125gr FP for under $35 and i'm pretty sure they are hard plated too because they have a crimp groove. I did miss the extreme 1k 38spl for $60 which was a little depressing but i waited too long. It will take me a year to shoot these Extremes i just purchased so win-win.

I have been trying different brands of bullets and types so if something is out of stock i can just grab it and not have to worry about something being discontinued like my dear 50gr Z max. That's why i have 500 Nosler BT on the way for the modest price of $63-500. woot-woot! I now have loads for 50-55gr V max, 55gr Nosler BTHP, two different 9mm companies, two different 38spl makers, 55gr FMJ-BT along with several powders and primers just incase i cant find something. Once these Extreme and Nosler bills are paid off i will be ordering a couple thousand of RMR 124gr MW and when funds become free keep ordering so i don't have the uh,oh they are out.

I use Xtreme bullets too .Dee da on where I can get the best price. If Xtreme is having a sale they are usually cheaper from 500, but if I have money for 1000 at once then RMR frequently beats the Xtreme price since they do a volume discount

It would be interesting to know if the latest threads on here endorsing them caused their shortage. That would be pretty cool.

You may have already looked into this but if not then consider getting some equipment to cast your own bullets. A smelting pot for sixty, a mild with handles for twenty, resizing die for twenty, and range scrap lead for your bullets and you are in business. Don’t ever have to order bullets ever again. Just a thought

Okay, I guess I had better step in and let people know what is going on. So, the reason the 158 grain plated bullets aren't on there was because I was a little slow ordering them. They are supposed to show up next week. Shot show cost us a stupid amount of money and we were a little short on cash flow so I was letting our supply get lower than I usually do before I reorder. The thundercast bullets that we make were taken off the website because our amazing employee who made them moved on to better things working for himself. We also have the new 9mm 147 machine and the original 69 grain .224 machine that requires operators so I haven't been able to pull anyone off of production to make the lead cast. We just barely hired two new employees to help with production and packaging but they can't start until the beginning of March. Sorry for the shortage, just trying to balance a million things at once and be wise with how we spend our money. As far as lead a copper go, you should look at the price of copper and lead compared to a year and a half ago. If the market allowed for it, I think you would have seen some big increases from other sellers. It's a pretty crappy market for bullet makers right now. Costs have gone way up and demand has gone way down. We are lucky to have a small crew and little overhead. Everyone else in the industry is either going bankrupt or laying off hundreds of people. Please keep us in mind when you go to order as we definitely could use the extra orders to make up for the lower margins caused by the increase in materials.

Also, you know you guys can message me to ask what's going on!? I am always willing to tell you guys what's up. I have been crazy busy with hiring and shot show follow up and city wastewater treatment plans (we don't have wastewater but the city wants me to come up with a huge plan on how to deal with our wastewater that we don't have) so I haven't been on here much. Please feel free to contact me directly if you want quick answers!

Bayou Bullets is having a case-price sale through today, and they have a pretty good selection. Just bought a case of 150 grain SWCs for my 38 super. Also, I heartily recommend their 138 button-nose WC bullets for .38 special. The sale more than covers the shipping.

Jake maybe try expanding your memberships to other sites such as predatormasters, thefiringline, etc. I have only purchased maybe 500 bullets from you and some brass and you guys seem like awesome people on FB and on here so I have been throwing out the name on a hunting forum I belong too, hope you don't mind. I am also on a couple other sites too ill start a couple of threads over there if it wont cause issues?

Jake will answer emails when no one else will. Even at 10PM.

Just placed an order for 1k of the new RMR made 124gr FMJ and 1k of the 180gr FMJ. This is my third order from RMR and they will be my sole supplier as I expand with 45 ACP and 38 spcl.

Welcome to THR Locochief

Jake has always been good about answering any questions I have had.
RMR has excellent bullets, good prices, and great customer service, a winning combo in my book!
I have been happy with everything I have ordered from them.

I am of low moral character, too low to use RMR bullets. Plus my marksmanship skills are not well enough advanced. Someday, maybe I will improve, but for now I have to live with the grim reality.

Can we please not go there :).

If things don't simmer down soon, we may be headed there again. sgammo is referencing high order volume in their shipping times. On the plus side (if there is one), a full blown round of nonsense again will at least give some much needed business to guys like Jake.

I don't use a lot of plated, but I was favorably impressed with the 158 grain RNFPs I ordered from RMR.

Every time I get ready to jump into an order with RMR something else in life steals the funds. Tires, roof leaks, plumbing, wife buys decorative crap... if I ever run across the unicorns I am needing to find (32 long, 6.8 spc, 10mm) I might have to plop down some plastic...Jake you don’t have to take notes, but if you do.....
