Where do they get DAO?

That's what happens when "old terminology" and new designs "collide".

And for the shooting sports that apply the above as a "semantic" exercise, it's "foolish" to me. They are missing the point IMO.

If the trigger pull is long, I don't understand why it matters if the gun is a true DAO, half or a full cocked mechanism...hammer or striker. The effect/feel of the trigger pull is the same.

I can't say exactly but on my sample the downward movement of the sear would move the striker to the rear less than one millimeter.
