Where do you keep record of your firearm inventory?

My insurance agent requested a copy when I added the rider to my home owners policy. So I guess that is my off site copy.

I have a few different hand written copies...One copy is in a safe deposit box with photos, one copy in a fireproof safe at home, and another copy with my reloading manuals.

The first thing I tried was an Excel spreadsheet. The problem was there was no way to add pictures to go with the info.
What I'm using is a Word document where I put three pictures (left & right sides and close-up of the serial number), then type in the make, model, serial number, when inherited or purchased, and any other tidbits.
I print three copies, one in my safe, another in a file cabinet, and a third with a relative. Electronically, I also have copies on my computer, a thumb drive, and my external H.D. In case of a fire (if I can't put it out), I grab the ext. H.D. and boogie!
:D

I save a file as an attachment to a boring old email.
Email is saved on their server.

Lose my safe or my computer.........a backup exists.

I use an app called Gun Log on my phone, so it goes with me everywhere.

In addition to that, I've got two bound books. One for just C&R, and one for everything (which I'm not required to keep, just makes it easy to have everything in one place).

And I've got spreadsheets with their serials and purchase info.

I built a small Access database for my firearms and ammo. I did that instead of a spreadsheet because I can log my ammo use/purchases and have reports that show what I have on hand. I keep it on a memory card in my laptop and on Dropbox. Attached is a blank database (I left one firearm dummy entry and the ammo info) for anyone to use if they wish.

Currently I only keep a record on a spreadsheet on a secure flash drive under triple fire lock. I suppose I should have a few more than just one copy.

I would never trust an application I didn't write not to upload to the mothership, just sayin'

Have an inventory in my computer called My Gun DB and hard copies in my gun safe. The DB contains pictures, serial no.'s and estimate of value plus who I want each gun to go to upon my demise.

Then monitor what the application is doing. It's easy, and if you know enough to write the most basic hello world application of any sort, you'll be able to figure out how to monitor an application's actions.

I have a full list of the weapons with required info on each, on my home computer, my laptop and a thumb drive. In addition I have emailed my sister a copy.
If that don't cover it, the hell with the whole thing! :D

On my computer which is backed up weekly and a paper copy in the gun safe.

I keep it with my government since they created an illegal database, other than that, try not to. :D

It would be such a pain to constantly be updating that list, maybe not for some of you but I never even know exactly what I have lol.

I have seen some folks use the signature function on forums for this...
