Where has Springfeild Armory selection gone?

I recently decided to purchase a new M1A a investment , So I decided to go for a nice SA 9102 super match model and it was then that I found out how hard it was to find any at all even on line. I placed a order on line sent the $ and I have been on back order for over a month can anyone tell me why this is and are things going to get better or worse.

I'd guess that SA doesn't keep a lot of the supermatch rifles in stock. An M1A requires a good bit of work to turn it into a tack driver and they don't exactly churn off an assembly line.

The AR15 dominates the firing line nowadays so it probably doesn't make much sense to churn them out by the thousands.
