I just got on starline's notification list. When I got the notification I ordered. It might take a few weeks but it will eventually become available to order.
I was at a gun show here in So Cal this past weekend and saw a few. The best price was a guy selling 500 RP for $50 or bags of cleaned 100 count misc headstamps for $10. When I got home I saw i could buy 1,000 new from Starline (10 days to fill order it said) for $130 delivered. $.10 for used or $.13 for new seemed a no brainer to me. Ordered 1,000... there was higher prices at the show for used too...
I get once fired locally on a pound for pound trade for just about any brass. Last time around I traded like 20 lbs. of 45 acp, for 20 lbs. of .357 of which about half was new IMI and Starline brass. Works out great for me, cause I don't even load 45 acp..
Speaking of, I remember a site that does just that, I think he trades just about any brass on a pound for pound deal, might be "brassman"?
it does exist in small quantities. Ive seen it myself, but most places that do have it charge you like its more rare then 50 bmg.
I guess skeltons ways of loading bullets further out in 38 special cases is still a really good thing to try these days. Technology has changed but the supply hasnt. Ironic isnt it?
It seems to be hard to find. I just bought from Starline, I was on their notification list. They take orders on a first come first serve basis. They are sold out now and it doesn't appear they are taking back orders but you can get in their notification list for the next production run.
Go online to DiamondKBrass they usually have once fired and new along with other good stuff, cheap shipping to and after you start buying from them they will email you a 10% code. Nice people
I'm With GP100, for the price of once fired revolver brass I will pay a little more for new. When it comes to 9/40/45 that can be found at the range for free or usually purchased for next to nothing so I do still buy that used. Good think revolver brass is easy to police!
Don't forget the range report ,I've have some of the MBC coated bullets(357 mag) on my shelf haven't tried them yet.
Wondering how fast you can push them.
