looking for a cadet .22 conversion kit. Where do you all get yours?

Tempted between that for my 75bd or a ciener for my 1911.

kadet kit is a reliable, accurate and good looking. I dropped one on my PCR without even having to modify it. I also got mine from whittaker guns .com. I think it was around 200 or 220 but ended up around 240 after shipping. Came very quick to my door and have been having fun with it ever since. I have yet to have any FTF FTE or ANYTHING.

got mine at J&G in Arizona. Nice transaction in the $200 range.
It took some filing (expected )to mate the new slide to frame but it was pretty easy.
I have the 75BD and it is a hoot with .22.
The only caveat is loading the mags, tough on the fingertips. Dunno if there is a loader/assist available specific to .22. I wound up modifying a larger bore loader. My fingers are now happy.
The site below is a good resource.

The Cadet kit is very nice, it's not controlled so you can order one from anywhere. I wasn't about to file on anything, I just pushed mine on the CZ frame. It was flawless BTW.:D
Best,
Rob

Got mine form whittaker guns .com, price went up a lot, paid $345 for kit & two mags and shipping.
But still less than everywere I looked.
Drop in my CZ-75, but did not go to ranghe yet.
Something not quete OK with loading .22LR.

Went to range with new Kadet kit, dropped on CZ-78BD frame, worked like a charm!!!
Did not even fit anything, still need some brake, but I think after couple of 100 it will loosen up.

Patrolman,

That is beautiful. The NP3 perfectly matches the finish. Is that a stainless steel 75B or nickel finish?

Doing a search for a Kadet .22 conversion is what got me turned on to this site. Still waiting for responses from a few sellers. Looks like I might end up going with Cheaper Than Dirt in the end.

I have a pre-import CZ-75 that I purchased while stationed in Germany. Round trigger guard. I never realized how well (easily) it shot, or how spoiled I was. Having to shoot other pistols later, I truly appreciated the beauty of the CZ.

Looking forward to running some .22 rounds through a Kadet. All I've heard is good about it.

Glad to have to have found THR.

303Nomad,

Welcome to the forum. Kind of neat that your first post is to a thread that is years old.

You won't regret buying the Kadet. Mine is always in my range bag and gets shot every time I go to the range. It is one of the best firearms purchases I ever made. I originally got the Kadet to use with a SP-01. I liked the Kadet so much I traded a SIG for a CZ 75 SA to use as a dedicated platform for it.

BTW, the Kadet likes the inexpensive Federal bulk pack .22 just fine.

The CZ Kadet kit is a excellent conversion unit. Beware of the Ciener unit - mine came with a smoothbore barrel. Ciener's customer service is nonexistent. The best 1911 unit is the Marvel Unit #1 loved by bullseye pistol shooters. For less accurate work the Tactical Solutions or Advantage Arms kits work well.
