Hey All,
I have had a Last Legend competition cutting Katana since 2006, never used it to cut a single thing, but only for Iaido practice.

This is a real folded steel sword with a real Hamon, and is was made from Last Legend swords, who are no longer in business.

It seems kind of difficult to find a market for a Katana, and I'm wondering if any of you could suggest a good forum or other sword marketplace?

I've got a new sword that just arrived (from Bugei Trading Co) which is lighter and better for my needs (Iaido, not cutting).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There are forums at swordbuyersguide and there's always swordforums, but they're pretty knowledgeable buyers.

Ebay and similar auction sites are good as long as you write the piece up with good pics.

Considering Last Legend's reputation at the end it will be important to explain when you purchased the katana vs. LL's rocky ending.

Thanks for the great info!
I posted it on a couple sword forums, and did explain that it was purchased new in 2005 from Last Legend (via a company called Shadow Of Leaves).

I knew Last Legend was out of business, but didn't know how they met their demise?

Why THR doesnt have a B/S/T for non firearm weapons is beyond my understanding.
We haven't had enough volume in the past, but we have always allowed NFW items in B/S/T Accessories. That's a good observation though, and I'll bring it up with the rest of the staff.

As Guy says, there hasn't been enough volume to separate out weapons that don't go bang from accessories.

I may be alone in this, but I'd be more prone to following a NFA (not NFA '34) B/S/T forum than an accessories B/S/T forum. I rarely look at the Accessories, in large part because I never thought to look there for non firearm weapons.

I agree, the accessories category is so broad that I rarely look there for anything.

Bladeforums.com is another option with extremely high membership and activity.

You could just tack something along the lines of "Sharp and Pointy Things" onto the "Accessories" BST forum.

Marketing...
